I downloaded a couple apps and set some Twitter alerts, but still no luck. StockX or eBay might be my best bets at this point, but just in principal I hate rewarding scalpers. If they were only $100 or even $200 over retail then I’d probably just do it, but I regularly see them on eBay for $800+.It’s not reeeeeaally super-duper time sensitive for me though. I live in Fort Worth, and during those really bad snowstorms a couple months ago, 3 different sets of pipes burst in my apartment/above my apt, and the damage was so bad that the complex told me I had to completely move out for the repair process. There was so much damage across the state that materials and workers are really hard to come by, so I was told it’ll be 3-4 months before I can move back (they’re completely gutting the place down to the studs, so it’ll take a while lol). Anyway, I’m kinda couch surfing at friends’ and family’s houses until June or July, so I won’t really be able to play as much as I’m used to. Oh well

Thanks, Fernand-bro Valenzuela. It was kind of a scary week — I lost power and didn’t get it back for almost 60 hours, and it was down in the teens and single digits the entire time. It got pretty chilly in there lol. But I’m alive so I can’t complain too much I suppose

Uhhh track the times they show up at big boxes or ps site? That’s all you can does put the website in with the pa5 tracker and you’re good. No “neckbeards “ wait at GameStop bec no one sells them at the store it’s all online -

Man, I'm sorry to hear that. I have 4 co-workers that live in the Dallas area and some had damage to their homes as a result of that storm. Nothing like that, though.

Usually around 3pm eastern. I got mine from them 3 weeks ago after getting Twitter notifications from wario64. The following week they dropped some on Friday at the same time. I’m not sure about last week.

Love seeing more and more people get their Ps5s. Word of caution though, the controllers drift after a few weeks.

I had this problem on ps4 about 2 months ago if it's bad good luck hitting anything down the middle. That and no new games are what's putting me off I don't really see the point at the moment.
Are there places doing custom controllers for Ps5 yet I assume yes? That said I tried 1 last week to get 1 I was a couple mins late and they sold out.

There are a handful of Twitter accounts that tweet out each store/website's release dates. I followed them and ended up getting one after a few drops.

No issues. It was brand new and works fine. I haven’t played it much but logged into all my accounts, downloaded some games, made sure everything was good. Ready for the show now

I followed all the PS5 restock alerts on Twitter and ended up getting 2. Gave the 2nd one to a family member.
Just follow them on Twitter and turn on notifications.

I really can't believe you can't just put in an order with Sony Direct and just wait your turn in line to receive it! But noooo, that would be too easy lol.

Haven’t really noticed the stick drift but my X button is kinda spongy and my sons square button gets stuck sometimes.

I got a Xbox Series X and PS5. It wasn't that tough. Walked into Walmart and got the xbox and bought a PS5 bundle on gamestop.

If you want the bundle you can always get one, provided you're paying attention. It's only when you just want the console, especially the disc-less one, that things get tough. I've had mine for about a month, which took me three weeks to land from the time I went after it. The horror stories about trying to land a stand-alone are definitely true.
