Field of Dreams

Of all the legends revealed so far...No legend has gotten me more excited than seeing the legendary corn field from Field of Dreams now in the game. I am beyond happy about this. Thank you SDS.

How do you think they will handle balls in the gap? Will it just bounce off the corn or just roll into the corn for a ground rule double?

That’s a very good question. My guess is the ball will just bounce off the corn same as if it was a wall, But that’s just a guess.

I’m ok with the double because most balls in the gap would end up as a double anyway. You lose out on a few triples but that’s not the end of the world. Only real problem I see is if you have a guy on first who might score on a ball in the gap would now I believe stop at third on the ground rule double. That could change a lot of games.

No wall, then i believe they said it would not be usable in H2H would be my guess. Or you will have alot created stadiums without walls just a guess though. Or was that just a comment in general? Wasn't sure if your concern was meant in regards to MP.

A. It looks like there is a wall, it's just very very short (like 2 feet). Anything above it would be a HR and hitting off the corn would be just like hitting one off the upper deck façade.
B. SDS probably can't put in Shoeless Joe for obvious reasons. Would that they could, but them's the rules. (and Pete Rose can stay out forever.)

Well if it has a wall should be able to use in h2h. I think they said you could choose from 150 wall presets right?
