Not happening just for the sole reason that its impossible the get all the rights for every player on those teams. The reason those teams work in 2k is because you only need 8-9 players per team and they fill the roster with generic Michael Brown named players

but some of the older sports games like NFL 2K and even old maddens had greatest teams but a lot of names they could not sign they just put a # to.
I don't know why that can't be done. If you don't get say Doc Gooden from the 86 Mets, can't they just put a guy wearing #16 on the team w/ a generic face and body? Then let the user be able to edit that player? That's what the older games use to do.

then make it uneditable the player and have him w another #. only for the players who they can't sign up.

The case involved creating virtual players that were indistinguishable from their real life counterparts with the exception of the name.
Different specifics, same concept.

In Franchise mode whatever organization you choose tostart with you have ability to play all scheduled games affiliated with that team. AA, AAA, and Majors.

I’d think they would be pretty easy to find rosters for basically every season In the vault idk about specific teams.
