How do you define that though? It's not as simple as saying whoever got 8 perfects to the other guys 6 perfects. There are so many factors when it comes to input. What if I square up 9 balls, but it is spread out one per inning, the other guy only squares up 7, but it was all in the same inning. He probably scores more than I do
Also, I think most of us would agree that 14, 15 and P pci scores are good input, but, what if those 14’s, 15’s and P’s come on gravity balls?
Who’s input should be rewarded? The guy who made good pitching input but still threw a ball down the middle, or the guy who made good input on the gopher ball?
-
Newsflash. Those same inputs you are seeing, are the same ones from 16, 17 etc. You just weren't being shown them.
Every year, it's slider adjustments and RNG calibration. It's not a game engine being reworked.

In this game right now. The person that makes the better inputs should win. Period.
If you were to fix that for 21. This would be the game of the century.
But we had that in 16 and 17 which wasn’t long ago
Yes. But the content now is way better...
If you are considering Prospect and Future Stars I’ll take the gameplay of 16-17 way over the BS players we got this year. And forget about Prestige that was just stupid to me. I agree with most of your posts but gameplay trumps new shiny cards
I've gotta disagree I think prestige cards were one of the hands down best parts of this game.
We can agree to disagree but I respect your opinion

So I’ll say this. and this isn’t complaining I’ve been on the winning side of the BS. But for reference
I had 3 games on legend I lined out squared up balls — my opponents probably never even saw legend hitting before because they were flailing at everything. ALL THREE GAMES I had a mistake computer generated mind you...that made them tank a homer. Now I had maybe 4 to 7 good inputs each game —they had 1. That should never ever happen. That is not balanced gameplay. That is rewarding failure.
When a person flails. More mistakes happen with pitching this is something I noticed. I’m talk perfect meter spots lobbed down the middle...what is that going to be with someone flailing?

Nothing feels better than teeing up a pitch, hitting it perfect, hearing that extra crack of the bat, and hitting a bullet line out to the shortstop.
Did that in consecutive at bats with Trout in an event. Lol

That doesn't really answer my question though. It's not always as clear cut as your examples

The p2p connections is the thing that needs to be fixed

That is not how baseball works. If you have played/watched enough baseball, you would know that there are times where a team can outhit the other team and lose. Your team’s line drives are getting caught while the other team’s grounders and bloopers are finding holes. I might get less pp’s in a game than who I’m playing but if I get most of them in one inning and get a rally while your pp’s are spread out I might get that win and there’s nothing wrong with that. That’s baseball.

I would say more PCI is the issue. How can I hit a slider early on the the outside of my PCI and get a no doubt home run but a fast ball in the top 3rd perfect timing with tbe same batter is a lazy fly ball?

Yes sir, I’m tired of it.

You will see the same game as 20 with a new cover boy and some trash "fixes" that they sit on there couch and tell you about. Same thing every year. This game is tailored to the kids who really can't play baseball. Make them feel good about themselves and boost sales.

Personally my problem is not when my perfects are lineouts or I’m hitting balls hard for outs. It’s when my opponent clearly is worse than me as evidenced by him flailing at pitches in the dirt and he gets rewarded for poor input. I haven’t done any studies but anecdotally this game seems to favor the lesser skilled player
-
There is a tendency of everyone who actually plays the game to generalize wildly from their own experience. The human mind plays tricks on itself when it relies exclusively on what it saw, and every trick it plays is an opportunity for someone who saw through the illusion to the reality. There was a lot you couldn’t see when you watch a baseball game.

Yes that I can totally agree with. I just don't think that the person with more good inputs should automatically win because that is not how baseball works. In the situation you're explaining though, I can agree.

Yes, but when you look at the box score, it will read as a close game because your opponent reached on a dropped third strike, and the late bloop behind the third baseman is scored as a hit while your good swings are recorded as outs.
-
I agree to the point that a perfect perfect should 99.9% of the time be a hit. I can see a PP fly ball to deep center or a robbed HR being an our. But if I hit a PP for a line out or foul ball that doesn't make any sense. Perfect should mean PERFECT

This isn’t baseball it’s a video game. You aren’t in war in COD. Sometimes in war you don’t expect to die but you do. But the person with the better inputs should win. THE BETTER INPUTS IN A VIDEO GAME DESERVE A VICTORY. It’s a VIDEO GAME!!! You aren’t a baseball player
You want to compromise the integrity of the competitive game to feel like you are in a baseball sim...if you want that PLAY OFFLINE.

Wow you're a very angry individual. Take a few deep breaths sir. Yes it is a video game but it is a video game based off of baseball buddy. If you want something that guarantees wins based off better input every time then don't touch anything that has to do with baseball. That is how baseball works which means that is how this game should work. Yes, more times than not the player with more good inputs SHOULD win but it shouldn't be like that every time or this wouldn't be a true baseball game. Like I said though, if you're not into that, then you shouldn't play this game or anything that has to do with baseball for that matter.

I don’t want a guaranteed win and I’m not angry. It’s a video game. It should play like a video game. Not a simulation of a baseball game. They have offline, casual and non-competitive modes for that.
What people want...is to KEEP UP when they shouldnt. It’s the same ppl that cried to ban dirt balling years ago because they didn’t have the skill or the patience to track the ball.
You know I’m right. Everyone knows I’m right.
you can’t have a competitive baseball game if you implement randomness. Because what happens...and we’ve witnessed this first hand is....the person making better inputs can lose and that should never ever ever ever happen in a video game it’s a VIDEO GAME for chrissakes!!!! Lol...that is literally the definition of what a video game is.
