2 outs in the inning of a time game Opponent has one hit up until this point. Bloop single on a very late swing From the pitcher. Next batter, starts off count 0-2 before 3 straight check swings all called balls before smashing a homerun. I can’t tell you the amount of times I’ve seen this particular sequence of events or something very similar happen. I’ve never seen a game so predictable lol.

I’m not going to complain and say that’s the reason I lost, my hitting has been pretty rough ever since switching to the ps5 but just out of sheer curiosity how many times have you seen this sequence of events or something similar happen?

Happens to me all the time. Pitch right down the middle on 2 strike count that I threw down in the dirt.

Two recent event games the past couple days. I was up 9-1 on a guy in the 5th where he had two hits (1 being HR); guy then proceeded to get 7 runs in the inning. Went through 3 pitchers just to get out but I was beside myself there. The other game was similar with fairly substantial lead cut to 1 in the final inning. Fortunate to still get my Ws but still frustrating.

This right here is why I will more than likely pass on ‘21, maybe in June or July ill come back here to see what the community thinks of the game. ‘20 left a bad taste in my mouth, and I don’t see them deviating from the extreme RNG now that its going cross platform.

The Rng has been out of control this year and SDS has shown they do not care and have not even attempted to improve and make a more competitive product. I will not be buying 21 until I see what the community is saying. Honestly, the only way we get better gameplay is if a competitor comes along or we just stop buying this horrible product

You know I went and played some BR in 19 today, and while it was fun (I’m a LOT better hitter now than I was then) there was plenty, and I mean PLENTY of line outs and more than a couple of, “oh and he botches it!”.

My point is I think whatever version of the game it is, it seems there will be something that nerfs good input.

I never said it was perfect, just that imo it plays better than ‘20. You can work around ‘19’s flaws, ‘20 not so much. Horrendous fielding animations, fielding being broken the first 2 months of the game, hitting and pitching being broken, then broken some more with every patch, base running being worse than ever. I mean those are kind of the fundamentals of baseball and this is supposed to be a baseball game in the end.
