Hey there - how many of you will have a PS5 before MLB21 is released? I know we don't have a release date, but assume early April.

I don't plan on getting a ps5. I made the switch to Xbox with the news that the show will go multi platform. Game pass ultimate is the best deal in gaming right now. I'll play 21 on PS4 if I have to until it comes out for Xbox/PC.

who knows how many times they'll restock and sell out instantly. Would progress on PS4 transfer to PS5?

I was fortunate enough to get a PS5 on launch day. Back in early November I would have said I would be playing 21 on it on launch day. At this point though, I may skip 21 for a few reasons.

I just got 20 on Black Friday after originally planning to skip it. It runs great on the PS5, and I'm having enough fun with it that I would be okay with playing it on and off until 22 while focusing the bulk of my time on other games. I also got a Series S and GamePass at launch, so I'd like to spend some time with that.

The lack of communication this late into development is not a good sign. They have most likely been working from home due to COVID, and even under normal working conditions SDS would have likely been spread thinner than usual due to development on new platforms. It is unlikely we see any drastic improvements this year, so as an every other year player it makes more sense to wait for 22. Unless they announce something that blows me out of the water, I may just keep tabs on how people are liking it through the forum.

MLB, COD WW2 and Diablo III are the only titles I play on my PS4. I stumbled on a gamestop bundle pre-order and I'm sending it to my friend for her husband's birthday.
I'll get mine after Memorial Day, if MLB looks that good on it.

I have a PS5 and Series X. I have always used Xbox as my primary system and had a Playstation just for The Show. The Show is by far the game I spend the most time playing each year. My gameplan is if it releases on every console at the same time I would buy the Series X version. If it releases first on PS4 & PS5, I would get the PS5 version. If it releases first on PS4 with a later date for the new consoles I would probably hold out for a next gen version unless the progress would transfer over. I was still rocking a 'day one' PS4 so even The Show 20 looks next gen to me on the PS5. I imagine it wasn't a big difference to people who have the Pro, but it's night and day for me.

Nah, I’ve practically stopped using my PS4. Can’t justify the expense for a PS5 and there’s nothing I want to play on it anyway. I’ve been playing Champion Jockey on PS3 for the last month when I do feel like playing anything.

I play most things on my computer. But the next gen consoles are as close to a gaming computer as they ever have been. That wont last, but for now its really great.

I'll get a PS5 as soon as they are available. Which in the UK will probably be a looooong time. I'd get an Xbox if any of those existed either.
