Hardest Pitcher and hitter to Prestige
-
Based on your personal experience what have been the hardest pitcher and hitter to prestige?
Just finished Pearson today and while his Ks were easy to get that 200 IP was a beast.
I'm almost done but Tim Anderson has been awful despite the lowered stat requirements. I've never had so many pop up and weak contact with anyone else this year.
-
Yellich. I think all of the extreme guys are tough.
-
had no soul by the time I prestiged Rollins and the funniest part? POTM Tatis came out that same week I finished him so guess how many at bats Prestiged Rollins has...learned my lesson.

Obviously has higher requirements but his
Swing is so smooth that the stats come easy for me. -
Gehrig? Those numbers are pretty high. Especially since he is restricted to one position, one that has a glut of good options.
-
For pitchers it's Pearson easily but really it's just a time sink. Getting all those K's with Jim Palmer, who IMO is the worst prestigable pitcher must be brutal. Gehrig's requirements are daunting but at least he's a good card. I wouldn't be surprised for a second if Prestige Matt Williams was the official "rarest" card in the game. He isn't a good card and he has tough requirements
-
All the extreme players. Got Pearson done, will try to grind out Gehrig and my Phillies guys in the US East Event coming tomorrow. But 200 innings with Pearson was a complete slog.

Granted I only play on AS in RS but Palmer is a decent option for me.
-
Catfish Hunter was the toughest for me to get Ks. Just doesn't have a put away pitch especially on AS.

I have 66 cards prestiged, the easiest was Jacob Stallings and the hardest was Jason Kendall. I only play prestige cards, but I've had enough of being destroyed playing inferior cards...time to unleash the ultimate god squad!!

That’s the kicker. A good portion of these “prestige” cards are fun to achieve, but ones I will never use in competitive RS. Think I am at 55 cards done but a huge majority I will never use, and the final couple I am working on (Freeman and Gurriel) won’t be used either.... I abandoned the last 3 pitchers not complete, Gallen, Bieber, and Lynn, as they aren’t going to be used either...

Freeman can’t even cut a spot on your bench?

He is a good lefty bench bat, but I think Morgan is a freak, and Ted a Williams is unreal, so he is out in the cold ( Cobb and Votta ahead of him too for me)
-
There was an event a few months ago where I was able to prestige Pearson in a few days because it was 6 innings and at dodger stadium. Pretty pitcher friendly. I just forfeited my run after every game so he could have max energy

I was going to mention that Stallings was surprisingly easy. I know his requirements are super low but I hit righties with him much better than I thought I would. Kendall was easy for me. A base hit machine and his speed as a catcher was nice.

I use Freeman over Soto. His both his 99 cards rip!

Funny how different cards work for different people. I actually hit my strikeout totals before the inning pitched. Palmer? Horrible for me.
-
Mantle.
(insert disparaging joke here)

Palmer, both regular and prestige, was my best starter until November. He had unreal numbers and a high K/9. I’ve combined to use those cards for nearly 300 IP. Now he’s my 5th starter.
-
All of them. Prestige is a grind i don't care to participate in.
