My wife was all excited as she brought me a big, heavy Amazon box yesterday. I think she THOUGHT it was a PS5 she pre-ordered a while back. She said "Here's your early Christmas present!!!"
I opened it and it was a 64oz bottle of Tide, some fabric softener, two jars of Skippy peanut butter, and some napkins.
I said... "Thank you?"

I'm in the same boat, but still have my old ps4. Made Championship series for the first time last RS, and now sitting in the 500's. Funny thing is I'm 8-2 in the HOF event and all games are like 1-0 / 3-2 / etc. NO ONE can hit in that event. I think they have done something with the sliders across the board.
Oh and I got destroyed by a 600 player last night. The whole time I'm saying this person has to be in the high 700's only to find out he was barely 600. So either I just suck all of a sudden or their is a fresh crop of highly skilled players.
It does bring comfort to know I'm not the only one though!
You are not alone in struggling to hit this new event. I think I have won 16 and lost three, but like you every game is 3-1, 2-0, etc...just very little offense. I am not striking out much , just can not seem to be rewarded on any āgoodā contact.

This definitely happened to me. Iām generally pretty good. Never miss ws and have multiple 12-0 brs but I picked up a ps5 a few weeks ago and I started off ok but didnāt feel comfortable. I kept getting worse. I think when I switched over I was 7-1 on the season and mid 800 and now down in 600. Was on a 10-0 run for br and blew that. Iām was late on everything even on all star. Hooked up my PS4 last night and tried a few event games and timing was perfect. I tried different setting combinations on the ps5 and the show and couldnāt get it right. Iām hoping I can figure it out with 21 because I absolutely sucked the last few weeks.

Lol Iām having fun with cyberpunk. If I canāt get a handle on whatās going on Iāll just stop MLB and play CyberPunk til MLB21 drops.

This is reassuring to hear and I recognize your name too. We have played a couple two three times throughout the years and they have always been great close games and know youāre a good player.
Itās like does the ps5 try to process whatās going on with the PS4 technology? Is there something funky going on with how the fps is being delivered? Do I need a monitor that better suits the 5? IDK, I know nothing about this stuff.

Thatās kind of what Iām thinking or hoping that being that this is a PS4 game on ps5 itās just a bit off and 21 will be fine. It just feels like the timing windows are a mess for me.

I'm having tons of fun playing it, wish I could play on PS5 though with a more stable framerate but PS4 Pro isn't horrible thankfully. Not perfect, but not horrible like base PS4 and Xbox.

I've always waited to get new consoles going back to the PS2, but then again those were price gouged to the hilt back in the day. Now i can afford a '5,' but still love my '4.'
There must be some settings that can be adjusted to get your game skills back, or just go back to the PS4.
Is the PS5 controller that different if at all? -
