A love letter to Ty and Honus
-
I can do all of the moments. I was very happy about being able to finish the "Extreme" series. But online? Meh. I'm OK. Never made WS, but hang in the 500-700 range.
But in this particular event (US of Baseball Central), Ty and Honus make me feel like a decent player. I've surrounded these guys with "Finest" cards for prestige purposes, but man, Ty and Honus are just... sublime.
Anyone else stand out for you in this event? Strangely, I'm also falling in love with Ralph Kiner (I did need ONE Pirate for this event).
P.S. Yes, I know this event is juiced. Don't burst my bubble.
-
Kenny Lofton of all people cannot be stopped in my lineup.
-
Love Ty & Honus, have been using since last week (prime eligibility) but haven't played this game that much this week because reasons so IDK if they will get prestiged. Either way, they def do deserve their own shoutout thread.

Stan Musial and Salvy are kicking major [censored] for me. So is Joe Morgan
-
Joey Votto is destroying everything.
-
Salvador Perez and Cobb are my stars
-
It’s lindor, Cobb, and Musial for me. Oh and candelario
-
Belli and Griffey and Seager

Just walk yasmandi. His speed is such a liability once he's on the basepaths, why pitch to him.
-
Lindor and Morgan are the only guys hitting for me. Honus has been drawing tons of walks though.

Read the room man. Not a single one of those is eligible for the current event

Honus is my star hitter this event. George Brett's FotF is the team captain coming through in the clutch over and over. Stan has proven his bat over and over. J-Ram finally started producing. Trevor Bauer and Walter Johnson are winning machines. Oh, and Salvy rules.
I'm loving this leg of the event.
-
Minnie Minoso and Ryan Sandberg. Minoso has a HR in like 5 straight games. Sandberg has been a stud for me too
-
I really want to put ty back in my ranked lineup for that 1-2 honus ty punch - but then trout or Griffey have to go and I already have them platooned because of mantle and mays, and then there is soto.

I smile every time someone mentions Morgan on here. I love him. His Exit Velos vs righties is out of this world.

Just finished a game with my man Morgan smacking 2 HR and 4 RBI. I still lost though lol but I love me some Morgan

I just prestiged Cobb, Bauer, and got to 20 wins to get Bellinger all in the same game. Cobb has been my MVP both in the event and ranked for sure!!! Honus has been good for me too.
-
I am enjoying Royce Lewis myself ... batting him 8th over .300 average and some power
-
Mr. Hornsby having himself a tourney.
