I love the energy of everyone's lists, so many players from different eras. I'm a Yankees fan, so of course my list starts with Derek Jeter but I would also love the following:
Howard Johnson Silver Slugger in 89 and 91, great combo of power and speed
Andy Van Slyke
David Wright
Dan Uggla
Randy Johnson
Julio Franco
Bernie Williams
Mike Mussina
Pedro Martinez
Roberto Clemente (as a proud Puerto Rican there is no card I want more)

Frank Robinson doesn’t get mentioned a lot and probably wouldn’t drive sales like say jeter but it would play amazing. Great contact, vision, and power with strong defense in the outfield and first base secondary.
I second this. Quite possibly the most underrated player of all time.

There are still tons available......Roy Campanella, Josh Gibson, Satchel Paige, Sandy Koufax, Frank Robinson, Hank Aaron, Roger Maris and Fernando Valenzuela. More recent would be Wright, Pedro, Unit, Doc, Strawberry, Brian Wilson, HoJo and John Kruk (with a mullet)

Cover athlete Derek jeter (that’s why you got no preorder card) cause the hype is to get him next year

Roger Maris. I wonder how many know that the year he hit 61 in 1961 he was the MVP AND he was the MVP the year before in 1960. Back to Back he was a really good hitter that should get more credit than he got for just the one year he broke the record.

That Joe Mauer card would be nice to have again.
The only issue would be there’s probably a dumb quirk that you’re not allowed to swing until you have two strikes.

Why not? There are plenty of random 99 overall players this year - may as well keep them coming!
I view high and mid-tier as more of "hype" thing that anything else.

Ken Caminiti, Brad Lidge, Lance Berkman, Daryl Kyle
Go Stros!

Great list, although Jack Morris is in the game already so I nominate Magglio for the Tigers and Jermaine Dye can replace him on the Sox
