Network error

I can’t play online modes because it keeps showing network error even tho there’s nothing wrong with my WiFi, anyone else having this issue?
-
Yeah, I've been having this issue all night. Ive tried restarting the game, my PS4, disconnecting and reconnecting my Wifi, and even uninstalling and reinstalling the game and nothing has fixed this.
-
Weird question but what kind of modem do you have?
-
Im using a LAN cable personally. I contacted help and they said that it may be that my college has a firewall; however, that doesn't make sense since I can connect to 19 just fine. I had this same issue in the BETA and it ended up randomly working like a day later, so I dont know what to think right now
-
I had issues with mlb the show 19 for a long time. I tried to fix everything. Network errors randomly everyday. I then looked up my modem and found out there are known issues with modems that have the intel Puma 6 chipset. They tend to cause random latency issues which effect this game a lot. I bought a new modem that has the Broadcom chipset and Boom no more network errors at all since then. I’m not saying this is your issue but if your modem has the Puma chipset it might be.
-
Yeah mine was connected via Ethernet straight to my router and I changed the modem and all was good. Hope you get it fixed.

Every time I play a dd game I play a half a inning then network error

video gaming 101: never play over wifi

Just had this happen during a BR game. Was going for 4-0 and boom network error. I run a ethernet straight to my ps4 so I know that's not the issue . I immediately checked my internet and it's like 200 up and 90 down so I dont get what happened
-
Did you ever get this resolved? I’m still experiencing the same problems. I cannot get a game of ranked seasons or anything where I have to play against a person to work. It is mind boggling to me.
-
Same thing happening to me, this is sad. I have the best internet offered here as well on fibre optics. It worked fine for the first month and then [censored] the bed. Every other game I own is fine online.
-
Played this game fine for 2 months and then got a new model router from spectrum and started having all the problems listed in this thread. Couldn’t get more than 2 innings in DD before network disconnect. Thought I was going crazy and no one at spectrum believed me, especially since the Internet was working fine for everything else. Finally I bought the Nighthawk router from Netgear and boom solved my problem immediately. It’s a router issue. Why MLB The Show refuses to address it or issue a list of approved routers I will never know. Can’t gaurabtee it for everyone but the nighthawk worked for me.
-
These errors are because your internet drops to often
-
Up 6-3 in ninth and get the network error and the L. Although phone WiFi and iPad didn’t go out. Always nice smh

Same here, I can never complete a game with having a network error. Did you ever fix it?

I’m having the same problem but I have spectrums modem that has the Puma 7, it has the same problems as the puma 6. So I called spectrum and they are sending me out their modem with the broadcam chipset. I’m hoping this fixes my issues.

I did everything you did and more. Called Spectrum and they replaced the line to the house. Nothing worked until I went out and bought a new router. Wish I would’ve done that a month ago. The new router also cleaned up the picture on my TV. It’s expensive, but I recommend the Netgear Nighthawk.
