bc it rewards good user input the most out of any stadium. Sure there are slightly more “bad” hrs there, but hitters that frequently achieve better input in than their opponents will win the vast majority of their games there. Can’t say the same for other stadiums. I think other stadiums definitely benefit hitters that aren’t as good, but ig it’s all personal preference and ppl are more likely to play in stadiums that benefit themselves.

Also the batter's eye is fantastic. There is no better batter's eye in the game than the one in Shippett.

I agree it does have the best, take away the elevation aspect and Shippett would be my home stadium.

It does have a good batters eye but it allows the most bs homeruns in any park. I’m pretty sure this is a simulation of baseball, so why aren’t runs earned. You rarely see runs manufacturered. It’s all or nothing which is honestly boring

That's how it goes in any other park as well tbh. And in real MLB as well, more or less.

Yes, it's a game wide thing, but just as it rewards good contact home runs more, it also rewards the bad. The park takes that type of gameplay and turns it up to 11. I play at other parks 95% of the time and see runs scored without the home run much more often.

I don't like it because I think I'm good. Until I leave shippet and go back to my warning track power.

If you’re someone who enjoys playing at shippet, why do you? I don’t think I’ve ever had a good game (win or lose) at that stadium.

i agree [censored] stadium though we all know why ppl like it there

That park rewards bad hitting. I'm sorry, but it does. Routine fly balls that are barely in the pci get launched there. Its a joke of a stadium

I get the hate for Shippet, but Shibe Park is an even worse band box. You need to knock out some easy HR stats for missions offline, pick Shibe and thank me later. That stadium, while a classic, is a joke. Although I admit, I’ve come to take advantage of it when I need x amount of HRs or XBH’s in missions vs CPU. With all the perfect-perfect fails and the CPU OF and 3B playing like Platinum glove winners — I don’t even feel ashamed

Mitch you’re a very good player and I’m not suggesting you can’t hit well away from shippet, but I feel totally the opposite. You’re more likely to get rewarded at shippet if you have bad input, for example you get under the ball for what would be a fly out anywhere else and it carries out for a homer.

Definitely way more BS home runs at shippett. At least at shibe center field is something like 440 feet away, at shippett the high elevation and the 390 foot fence to center is awful.

Shippet's one of the main reasons people back out 24/7 if they arent the home team. Basically the home team is guaranteed a walk-off home-run if the game goes to extra innings with basically any player in the lineup regardless of their power.

Imo the bad hits are anomalies. I’d much rather deal with those than more lineouts and warning track fly balls. At shippett, I can overcome the bad hits by hitting well myself and getting rewarded. At other stadiums, I’ve found that bloopers determine outcomes of games more often.

However, I’m not one of those guys that plays home only. Can’t stand those types. I’m willing to play at any stadium, even tho I don’t like most of the stadiums. And I’ve definitely seen a lot more lineouts and fly outs to the track on really good pci placement at other stadiums.

I have 11 losses this year in like 90 games and I think the majority of those came in mlb stadiums. I think mlb stadiums and some minor league stadiums keep bad players in the game because it’s tough to get rewarded or tough to see the ball because of a bad batter’s eye, which diminishes the skill gap by making hitting determined more by luck than skill.

That being said, I definitely get the anti-shippett arguments. I definitely strongly disagree with those that claim players who play in shippett are only good cuz of the stadium- I’ll play any of those guys at any stadium and feel confident in beating them handily. And I’m not even a top player by any means especially this year. I think shippett would be the perfect park if they significantly decreased the elevation. For now, it’s still the best option IMO, but I get why people prefer other parks

I prefer other parks and I’m a bad hitter. I choose to not be rewarded for my bad PCI placement. When I learn how to place it properly then I’ll go there knowing that I can give up 10 runs and score 11.

Sounds horrible. How long did that game take? At least an hour and fifteen, right? Who has time for that? Haha
