Hopefully one day you guys will become good enough at The Show where you can turn off the strike zone and stop using the PCI and just play Analog Stride Keep practicing guys :).
I was an analog stride guy for a couple years. You're at the mercy of the attributes of your cards, it's not like there's a ton of skill needed there.
Step one: time the stride
Step two: time the swingAm I missing something?
Time your stride and then time your swing?...hmmm sounds familiar eh?...sorta like swinging an actual bat. Oh wait so most of you like moving a target around with a bullseye and pressing a button instead?...sorta like Duck Hunt?:). So are we here to play baseball or play Duck Hunt? :).

Right... if anyone here played real ball like you they’d understand that it’s all timing the stride. No need for any hand eye coordination at all. Track the pitch? Pssshh You don’t even really look at the pitch when you’re as good as you huh? Just master the pitchers timing like the true greats.

Has it been confirmed that you can edit the PCI so you can make it exactly like years past? All the extra bells and whistles bother me when watching gameplay videos, I imagine I won't like it much when I play either.
Yes it can be edited. You can have the same variations of pci just like in recent years and change color and brightness. I’m sticking with reticle but changing the color of the pci too

You literally don't even have to figure out where to swing with analog stride. You're doing one half of a swing.
If you've ever swung a bat, you'd understand that if you time an outside fastball and the pitch is on the outside corner, you're not going to make contact simply because you timed it correctly. Putting the barrel on the ball requires aim, no matter who are. So I guess in that sense, baseball is sort of like duck hunt, by your crude example.

You just don't understand skill Ryan, that's why you only ever made it to professional baseball

I know that's why I never made it to pro and capped out at low level semi-pro

No offense. But it’s far more skill based to use zone then any of the other hitting options in the game. Directional being the least skill based. Analog being slightly more skill based and zone being the epitome of hitting skill.
This isn’t even arguable.

Factor in the fact that you can stride and hold it and then swing, it’s not really timing based. I switched from stride to buttons from offline to online. Switched back to stride when I started swinging too early for whatever reason (kinda like a golfer losing his swing for no reason or a catcher that can’t throw back to the mound), and back again to buttons when my brain unlocked. No skill required, only what makes your timing better or what you prefer.
Kids flexing video game muscles always make me laugh. Oh, you beat me I’m so hurt!! -
A whole lot of bait biters in this thread...

I see I've ruffled some feathers for the aiming button pressers, I hear Sniper Elite might be on sale next week on Steam.....you guys should check that out :). And for yankblan saying Analog Stride isn't timing based because you can hold and then Swing is total BS...that [censored] might work on lower hitting levels but not on Legend. Even if that was the case why would anyone want to cheat youself by doing that?.....are you an Astros fan or something? :). Analog Stride is the most natural way of hitting the ball in this game not button mashing and moving a bullseyes around. I've played baseball since I could walk into my 30's and your Stride and Timing is what hitting is.....how do you button mashers even check your swing?. With analog Stride I have full control of my swing, If a ball is up you start your swing earlier, If you want to go the opposite way you swing a bit later and move your stick slightly away, If I want to check my swing I stop midway or pull back like an actual baseball swing. Now maybe analog stride might be a little easier as per hitting levels and that's why I play at Legend hitting with pitch speeds at 10 with a slight Slider Adjustment from default - Contact to 6 and Power to 6. Also the great thing about Analog Stride is everyone has a different stride/stance/bat wiggling and you have to get use to all of them, that's another great thing about Analog Stride....playing as my Blue Jays my swinging approach with Bo and Vladdy is slightly different. I use to be a button masher for baseball games prolly back when I was a kid with Ken Griffey Winning Run or whatever it was called but now I'm a man :).

I was so mad when they took out analog stride in MLB 15. It's the only way I can play. If they ever get rid of it I'm going to stop buying it hope that never happens.
-
Yeah same with me if they ever took out Analog Stride I don't know how I could play this game, in 2015 they didn't fully take it out they just totally messed it up..they had moving the joystick to the left and right for Contact and up for Power, boy that was retarded. I still got the game to see if I can mess around with sliders to make it play sorta realistic but it never panned out....2015 I couldn't play a Franchise and it just collected dust.
