Larry Walker - I guess I need him, right?

I've used him iver 500 at bats and hes great. Thats the prestige version. Only recently i took him out to play with yelich. Not because he did anything wrong just wanna use yelich.

Walker is a top 3 Card in in the game in my my opinion and certainly the MVP of my team. I hate facing him on other teams too seems like everyone hits well with him and there doesn’t seem to be any weaknesses in his swing to exploit as a pitcher.

I picked Mo, then finally caved and bought him last month.
I screwed up picking Mo.

I picked Mo. Sold him as I was still working toward Mantle.
Eventually got him back like a month later. Finally bought Walker like 2 weeks after that.
Was sad I waited this long to get Walker. He is a God among men and probably my best hitter. That man will never leave my lineup along with Mantle. All other OF options at this point are a waste to me or bench bats.

Need? No. He's great don't get me wrong, but if you've got Mantle and Trout you can plug any one of the other great fielders in that 3rd spot. Cobb, POTM Bellinger, Yelich, Babe, Williams, Turner, Buxton, Castellanos, Reggie, Biggio, Sheffield.
All 3 of those bosses (Mo, Walker, Ortizzle) are high cost now, because all 3 are great.
Walker is pretty fantastic though. Better than pretty much everyone I named, but arguably not 200k better.

It's a very good point that Mantle+Trout+?=OP Outfield, and the "?" is a pretty open ended and deep pool for choosing from.

I guess the real question would be, will 99 Griffey be better??

Still working on Trout (need 4 postseason cards), but once I pick him up Walker is going to the bench. Mantle and Trout are definitely better thank Walker, and I'm planning to keep Ted Williams in LF until Griffey because he's the best hitter in the game IMO. I like Larry, but at times it feels like he has a noodle bat for me. I'd much rather rock with Mantle, Trout, and Williams/Griffey.

I haven't used Cobb though, he looks like a really good card but I don't really have the desire to use him over other guys. The only reason to use Cobb over Walker would be speed, but Larry still has around 80 speed and is far superior in the field.

I won't use walker. I have a mental issue, if I hate the player in real life or as in walkers case(I hated) in real life. I don't use them

Walker is a keeper man...get if you can, not only because of his offensive but he is probably the best defensive player on the game...trust me.

Walker is still the single card I fear most in any lineup. You can have prestige Mantle and I’m still more scared of base Walker. I think that stance has something to do with the intimidation factor, but my goodness has he ever killed me in some key situations

I used him until I got cobb he was a little slow in the outfield for me on some of those deep drives that Mantle and Ellsbury were able to get to. His arm is a big plus and very accurate. I have thrown out at least one guy at the plate with him.
He has been good against the CPU for me not so much with online but has hit 6 bombs. I just was never able to get his swing down as much as I have with other guys.
Currently using Cobb in LF Tout in CF and Mantle in RF. Really like the balance of these guys and it makes my team a very quick team on the base paths with 1-5 being Jackie, Cobb, Mantle, Trout, MA Tatis.
