The Problem with Moments Explained in a Screenshot

Don’t forget the runner on first that the pitcher throws over to 5 times.
-
And it seems that there is always a runner on 3rd, so when you fly out to the outfield you have to wait for him to run home before you can restart. That seems like no big deal at first, but after many attempts of "restarting, rinse, repeat", it gets annoying....and there is usually no purpose for it. Unless you have a Moment that is requiring x amount of RBIs or sac flys.

This is why I hate moments, it’s not skill it’s just patience and luck to get that many pitches to hit to complete a 4 xbh or 3 hr mission. Skill comes into play, but it is marginalized by the lack of pitches to hit and the amount of time you have to sink in to get the rng to allow you to be able to complete said mission. Every hitting mission it’s same story, you are lucky to get one hittable pitch an at bat
Agreed. The moments seem to be as much random luck as skill, with the randomness being whether or not the pitcher actually throws a hitable pitch to you that at bat. Sometimes it happens in the first at bat and sometimes it takes many many more times than that.

Its terrible, I dont know about you but I swear the second I let my gaurd down assuming its gonna be a throw to first pitcher fires a dart and smirks at me.
-
You have to get lucky and might get one or two pitches to hit. You want to be patient but you start pressing because walks don’t do [censored] for u

I got hit by a pitch in like 4 of my first 10 at bats in the Yelich moment. I dont know what i did to [censored] that pitcher off, but throwing 100 change ups in the dirt wasnt enough for him today.
Needless to say i havent finished the moment yet.
I completely feel your pain. Pitcher logic is sadistic during Moments...

My first 3 or 4 attempts doing Yelich moment first at 2-0 count next pitch hit me. Restart 3-0 count hbp, 3rd time 2-2 count hbp. Not sure if it was next restart or a couple after that hbp, just stopped after that.
Did get Gehrig earlier today as I only had to finish Yelich and Gehrig moments. -
My first 2 at bats with yelich, hit and intentional walk. The pitch was literally 4 feet off the plate. No card is worth that pain and misery. So I go back to my Ruth and Conquest grinding.

I finished it after about 5-10 tries. But in one game, I had 5 pitches in the strike zone...out of 24 pitches. Having the same issues with the Yelich mission.
I'm flailing on the Gehrig mission. On my 2nd try on Yelich, I had 3 ABs with 3 first pitches right down the middle. Lucky.

It does this stuff to me, too. I'll be dialed in and ready to hit whatever piece of cake is thrown my way, only to helplessly watch as I get walked. Just wth

Just power swung perfect/perfect fly ball with Lou against Fiers who has 41 hr/9 and it was caught on the warning track. I am honestly speechless and shut the game off right there. I need no other proof these moments are simply RNG. That is embarrassing that just happened. 125 contact with 119 power perfect fly ball against a 71 bronze caught on the track. Congratulations @SDS

Yes these moments blow!!!! I wish MLB would change the rules so that a walk counts as a total base. The batter earned it, it should count.
-
Yeah the moments blow, but they are supposed to blow. That's why it's called Extreme. It's easier for some but not others. Still haven't beat anything except the 3 HRs with Yelich and about 10 strongholds on the conquest. Spent at least 150K stubs attempting the showdown and still rising. But even if it takes all my stubs I WILL CONQUER THIS [censored]!!!!
-
The worst for me is when you hit a clear gapper with a runner on first and decides to stay at second.

I know, right?? I can't tell you how many times I've come up one base short because of stuff like that. Same should go for reaching on a fielder's choice or an error.
