Just what we needed after the release of Babe Ruth, Frank Thomas and Lou Gehrig.
I mean babe has been out for a while now so really its after Frank who was a month ago now. Overall they are making you choose it create diversity and side you can only play 8 position players regardless so at the end of the day alot of cards will get cut and lately I see most people playing Stan at first so mute point really
Fair point, I guess I'm just frustrated that we haven't seen 99 Griffey, Mays, Pujols, Chipper, Jimmie Foxx yet.
I'm sure Covid threw a wrench in the plan of SDS with how they would release some of the guys. Obviously Pujols and Griffey are not going to be inning program guys. We did get a 98 Griffey and a 95 was a WS card. Pujols will probably be the next round of WS reward with Chipper being a BR reward. Foxx and Mays may be the 9th inning guys guys.
They cant release end game guys early in the season. They did that last year with Alomar and Wagner. They were 3rd and 4th inning guys.

Honestly I don't think Covid has much to do with it. This stuff is very easy to plan (which they did for sure before the game released) and very easy to execute remotely as well. The only thing they had to improvise somewhat due to Covid was the POTM programs when baseball season hadn't started yet. Which they handled well I must say.

I dont think they planned for the HRD pack because they would have had all star cards

Possibly. That still doesn't really justify them taking so long to release these cards. It's very clear why they wait so long, they want to release them during a time where many people consider quitting on the game or to draw people back who already quit. That comes with a risk though, some people who already quit will not come back regardless.

Yes but they have done it this way for years. Last year Trout Schmidt and Pujols were the 10th inning guys and we say trout early with the collection and schmidt in TA 3

Bert Byleven is the next card up. SS card looks identical to last years card.
With these cards showing up now and TA 4 not yet drop I'm change my stance that TA 4 will be finest cards
-
Kind of surprised it wasn't the 98 Ron Guidry.

Bert's my dude for sure. I loved using him in '19, one of the pitchers that made me grow a pair and throw weird sequences with off-speeds in the higher ranks.

They’re going to release an MVP Betts. I’m not even a huge fan of his, but if they release a 2019 GG Matt Chapman and not an MVP Betts I’ll be both angry and confused
Gimmie an F
Gimmie an I
Gimmie an N
Gimmie an E
Gimmie an S
Gimmie a T.What's that spell?

The way that's phrased makes me think he might actually be the player program but maybe that just me over thinking it.

While I agree Mookie is the best player on the dodgers this year, his finest card would be so much worse than a 2018 MVP card. He has been garbage against left handed pitching this year

Agreed
Plus with him being the cover boy it makes sense he gets his own player program.

Confrimed by SDS Javy's card is in the pack

Wade Davis looks like the move for me in the base round.
-
So are these the Run It Back 15 cards that is promoted in the calendar? Are these just purchase packs like DOTP and Beach Ball? If so, wonder what the cost and cap per person will be...
-
I'm not even sure he's a starter for my All Cards team. But I'll happily take him.

I just hope they have at least one or two relievers in this
Yeah, agree.
My relievers have been static for a long time now.
97 Henke, 96 Hoffman, 94 Wagner (lordy I wish I could be a better player to get that 12-0 BR), 98 Gagné, 97 Chapman, 96 Fingers and 99 Prestige Rivera.
I sometimes swap in 92 Rodney in there, but this is I think an end game bullpen.
We have enough SP and more than enough IF/OF.
