So, I'm at the point where I feel confident enough to ask for the forum's thoughts on my lineup. I've been steadily improving through the year, after a late start in DD in mid-May. I'm not great, but approaching 700 in RS for the first time. With some of your advice, I think I can get over that hurdle. I'm a NMS player, and have flipped my way to 650k in stubs to spend if I need to. I'm reasonably happy with my pitching, and I'm prestiging a bunch of my FOTF players (Orel, Hunter, Wood, etc).

Disclaimer - some of these are odd choices, as I was on a "Prestige" kick and would only use players where I could get the Ruby Diamond. I'm over that now.

All stats noted below are for RS.

C - CAP. I can't hit for the life of me with Posey. Oddly, I've had a lot of success with the Pirate's Kendall. So, I could swap my CAP to a different position if need be.

1B - Frank Thomas. Tried a bunch of people here too, with limited success, but open to suggestions. I hit "OK" with Mattingly. McGriff was good for me in limited ABs.

2B - Brian Roberts. Hesitant to take him out, I'm close to prestiging him, and I hit well with him. Plus, I like his speed. Once he's prestiged, I can swap.

SS - Tatis POTM. Only 20 ABs so far, but like him.

3B - Sheffied. I hit well with him. Defense is meh. Open to suggestions.

RF - Mantle - Hate to admit it, but I'm 250 ABs in and I really struggle with him. Only batting .220's. Open to suggestions. Cobb?

CF - Trout. Hitting over .300, my best by far. Keeper.

LF - Rotating... was Biggio (trying to prestige). But open to suggestions. I'm hitting over .300 with Dante Bichette in about 100 ABs.

Where's Ruth? Bench bat. I hit reasonably well with him. Also... I do hit better RH than LH, which is odd, as in RTTS I always batted LH.

    Thank you!

Give that Castellanos a try at third, left or right if you have all the POTM's done.

Cobb for LF is an easy choice here. Also Biggio is by far the hardest card to prestige so you might be wasting a bit of time there

99 Jackie is free, and can play 1B, 2B, 3B, and LF

    100% this.

Also, while it may be true that MA Tatis is the best SS in the game atm, he may also be the best 2B and/or 3B. Be flexible within. He won't have a blue defensive shield at SS until he is prestiged....but that gold shield plays well all over the IF.

He has diamond fielding at short so I’m not sure what you are talking about

Harper is a good value bat for your outfield. I went back to Beli at first after cycling through Thames, Ruth and the other top first baseman. At catcher I really like the 97 Molina, he’s a budget Pudge with a better swing.

Dude, how anyone does not start Ruth and give him a shot for a long trial period is beyond me.

    Dude is clutch.

Jackie at 2nd is disgusting as well with surprising pop. He and Tatis or JRoll are beast lead off guys.

CAP at C is a solid choice, but a similar set up would be Posada. That would free up your CAP for 2nd if you're looking to replace Roberts. Aside from that, Biggio is great at 2.

For your 3rd outfield spot I wonder where POTM Belli (who I'm guessing you have prestiged based off of your love for prestigeable cards) and Castellanos are? Bellinger I'd put in right for the arm (and diamond d if prestiged) and move Mantle to left.

I don’t own him, but hate facing him.

I have Cobb, Mantle, and MVP Trout and debating buying him.
