#5. Never. Ever Ever.
It's in the MLB licensing agreement that no fighting will be depicted in the game. So unless you'd enjoy a game with ALL licensing removed (players, teams, stadiums, ALL OF IT), you won't see a single punch thrown or bench cleared.
-
For number 5 you'd have to play an older version of the game. I think 16 or 17 was the last to feature a taste of this?
Unfortunately I don't think it'll ever happen cuz of the licensing agreement. Which I think is stupid. I mean its part of the game and does make it more authentic. I've played several sox vs yankee games over the last few years where players were thrown at/hit and im just sitting here like this needs to get more heated. Oh well

Yo guys thank you for telling me. It would have been cool tho to see what it would look like

I still have the digital version of 17 in my library tempted to re download and see if that's the last one

#6. Do anything, literally anything to update franchise. I'm done buying this game until they do, quarantine got me to get it this year and been waiting since March to get Shogo Akiyama added to reds, still hasn't happened. I've played this game for years and I think I'm pretty much done with it, which is sad. I quit Madden because they neglect franchise and SDS has became just as bad. You neglect the core of the game that made it what it is, I know one person not buying not gonna matter but I'll just get super mega baseball or nothing

With the addition of custom teams and the awesome fictional rosters that have been created, I’d love to see a stadium editor/creator and secondly Possibly have the option to zero out player and team historical stats at the beginning of a franchise, so “new” leagues could be a bit more standalone.
-
PC PC PC PC PC, that's it.

MLB Slugfest on the PS2. Game was ridiculously fun, and you could charge the mound, fight on 2nd, extremely fun game. Was the bread and butter of downtime during baseball tournaments.

So, something that has bothered me since I started playing MLB The Show years ago is that BB% or walk rate/walk percentage is not high enough. This is definitely noticeable when simulating games - as by the end of any season, the players with the best plate discipline never have enough walks - guys like Bryce Harper, Carlos Santana, Mike Trout, Rhys Hoskins etc. - I would say players with 15% or higher BB rate don’t walk enough. This may sound stupid to some, but as a baseball “stats guy” it really bothers me. I would love to see this improved.
Also, improving how player potential works with a better ability to show what aspects of the game players have the potential to improve or be able to create a “ceiling” for certain attributes. Also, a way to change the variability of outcomes..... so you can have high ceiling/high floor guys but also high ceiling/low floor guys who improve very little despite having huge potential.

Let's not be worrying about franchises wish list these guys can't even figure out where players play and what positions they play in good God ️ have you seen the last roster update

There’s so many lil things that shouldn’t be that difficult to implement into franchise to make it more realistic..... September call ups exigible for post season, nri with minor league deal, redo the trades tired of only able to trade 3 guys add slot money maybe three team trades add a couple more slots, better computer ai to keep guys rotating will keep using the same relievers or bench guys keep the guys fresh get em ab’s, take a look back at mvp baseball they had some nice features to truly make franchise realistic like I’m an actually gm and coach come on Sony franchise has been ignored long enough these lil features you guys try hyping up and selling us on isn’t working
-
My wishlist is mainly in franchise mode. I LOVE creating fictional roosters and rebranding the entire league, but now that it's here, i hope they add some things...
-
Stadium creator/editor--OR at least a handful of new fictional stadiums to chose from. Like the old All-Star Baseball game from Gamecube.
-
Allow users to create more uniform options. AT LEAST 1 alternate for home and 1 for away AND/OR-- Allow users to EDIT their uniforms throughout the season and off season.
-
ONLINE FRANCHISE MODE! I would LOVE to play a franchise online with my friends and family using our fictional rosters/rebranded teams.
-
FULL MLB THE SHOW GENERATED FICTIONAL ROSTERS that can be edited.
-
Team and or uniform vaults to be added to the existing Roster, Logo, player vaults etc.
-
Continue to pass vaults/ ROSTERS/ Franchises from one version of the game to the next version.
-
NO AUDIO option for teams and cities for team expansion like they have for players. I would like to name my team The Rounders, but I HAVE to pick audio from the prerecorded names so M. V. is calling me the Gamblers....
-Real Minor League stadiums, or at least super popular ones.

So this is a very early wishlist but here are some things I would really like to be added to franchise mode in The Show 21.
#1. Allow season length changes - This is for people like me who want to play the whole season without simming games and you not being able to play some games. 162 games is a lot of time to do so I say let people choose from like 60 games, 100 games, 125 games, and 162 games. This lets the person choose how long they would enjoy playing each season.
#2. Expand Franchise - Now this is a really cool feature I came up with. This is to make the fans you have mean something. You have a job to promote your team and make billboards, ads, commercials, etc. This can bring more fans to your games and that can get your team more money. I’m always finding myself in debt when I’m playing with the Phillies because of contracts like Bryce Harper, Jake Arrieta, and Zack Wheeler taking up so much space. So doing this promoting method it would help me make more money and not worry about anything when I need to pick up a free agent or make a trade.
#3. Challenges - Like come on San Diego Studios are you seriously only able to add challenges at first and you can’t even challenge a play by your choice. Like there have been so many plays at home or at 2nd base that should have gone my way but I can’t challenge it. This is something that really needs to be added for players.
#4. Ejections - Lets add a little more spice to the game and allow you to argue with the ump. This is a good method if they give you a sh*t call and you wanna tell them, the game will recognize the bad call and you would be able to either go on with the game, or argue/talk with the ump. If this happens repeatedly, the ump may toss you if he feels so. This is so more players might get tossed and it would just add a realistic feeling to the game. This should be added to all modes as well.
#5. Fights - Now this one can be added to all modes as well. Fighting is something we may never get but I believe that the show can do it. This would especially be great for online modes. If a batter throws at you or hits you multiple times. You can get an option to yell or argue with the player. And eventually, you would get an option to charge the mound. This would be AMAZING to add to online because some people just can either get on your nerves or they are just sore losers and they keep throwing at you.
Now these are 5 things that I REALLY think should be added to franchise mode in MLB The Show 21. Let me know what you guys think and if you love it, let’s get San Diego Studios to take a look!
I like 1-4, wish 5 was a thing. Maybe no bank? I HATE that I can't make any trades. lol
I LOVE what NBA2k did with this, where you can relocate, build a new stadium, and design it. I hope they do that. -
