I just don't understand how I can play prestiged guys with 150-40 records and win and even destroy them sometimes, then get my [censored] handed to me by bronze/silver/gold players with 500/sub 500 records like im the orioles cpu on rookie.

Starting to think I must suck lol and here is why. If I see a guy who had a terrible record and lots of hitters that bat in the 200s I usually get smoked. If I play a guy with a good record and some batters in the 400s I usually shut him out and win easily it makes absolutely zero sense.

Wow since I’ve written this post I’ve gone on to lose 4 games in a row 2 were walk offs gains me in the 9th inning with an era to be followed by a bomb , then the next game was not one but two games winning home runs being robbed. Yep I’m pretty much done!!! This is just not enjoyable!!!

No way I’m just done !! It would be nice to just play someone and either win or lose on your own skill level but the rng that they have created is unplayable!! I know they don’t care about the quality of their product. No way they care !!

Absolutely. Against the weaker opponents its like the ball is a lot harder to pick up

I hate these comments. No way they care? You lost a couple of games and you're mad or whatever but you don't think that they care about the product? Give your head a good shake. Do you have any idea how many hours are poured into making that game? Whether or not its good or not is irrelevant but the amount of time, work and frustration that goes into making a game as complex as baseball is astounding.
Be mad at the game and even the devs for not making it to your standards but don't say they don't care. Stupid claims like that make it hard to take anyone seriously

I think they care but something is obviously wrong at SDS. This forum was not this toxic back in 16 & 17. Sooooooooop many gamers complain about the state of gameplay now. These same people (for the most part), also say the content by and large is pretty top notch. It’s been this way for 3 years now which is a long time in “video game Years” .......for lack of a better term. We can’t all be wrong. Something has gone afoul at SDS!!!

Its the Diamond Dynasty modes, the Madden Ultimate modes. There needs to be separate companies or at least separate teams in one company to make 2 completely different games. Look at all the sports games we all love. Great franchise/dynasty games, great play tons of features then the online build your team buy our packs games game out and it all went to [censored]. All resources go into packs and gameplay gets completely ignored. Too much cash is pouring in, they cant help themselves. And it will never change untill the leagues (MLB,NFL,NBA,NHL) tell these companies to make two separate games completely. An online version and an offline version. Everyone gets there money and everyone gets there game. I aint holding my breath though. We cant even get a trade deadline roster update and when or if we do you gotta start ANOTHER franchise because they cant have real time updates. I dont man, i love this game, best sports game but the cross platform next year only means more packs to sell and franchise mode getting nothing or losing more features. Frustrating

The outcomes for user input are inconsistent. Why would you expect consistent results?
The problem is that they have tried to create a consistent, realistic level of play in a game where failing seven times out of ten is seen as good.
None of what I see amazes me anymore, simply leaves me dumbfounded most of the time.
It's not scripted, but with many people playing, you just have to hope the dice rolls your way in those important moments. People in the top 50 or so are a little less susceptible because of their great skills, but that's about it.
Hell, the game can't even play consistently between modes, so I'm surprised anyone's surprised at this point.

YES. Drives me insane. I get the feeling they are more interested in creating close scoring games and realistic stats rather than realistic/CONSISTENT gameplay. Nothing is worse while playing a sports game than the feeling that it is rigged.

I feel like tweaked the hitting again. I can't touch Walter Johnson on all star in the Ruth challenge, yet I won a 9 inning game on HOF against the all great team. Even player missions I having a hard time getting hits. I am sure it is based on hours played...forcing you to slow down your progression you don't proceed to quick.

The sliders need to be adjusted SDS. You cant do anything about the engine but you can adjust the sliders and need to do so.
