Officially hardest Ranked Season to date

Today is the last day for it? Both happy and disappointed if that's the case.... just finally cracked 800 last night

I've yet to really make a strong push in this years game. It's been to inconsistent. In years past I've never made it over the 880's. This season is the most I've really tried and I'm just shooting for 2 more games tonight to make 750, currently 710's, and set myself up to start at 600 for next season. My games are always close, but I just can't hit HR like everyone else does no matter who I use, so games I could win easily are close, or games I should win close I lose.

Yeah, this RS was very difficult at first but finally found my groove and made a push to hit WS late last week
-
I’ll never make WS because I refuse to put up with the bullish that goes on in this game. I’d rather just quit than get myself in a bad mood.

I did as well, i can only imagine what it will b like if i ever get to 900, about took the house down last night getting to 800

I break 700 and I'm chill. I should make a WS push but I feel I'd get tilted very quickly so I just get where I'm comfortable and chill. I've been grinding events more.

Do you start at 650 in the new RS if you finish in the 700s? I only made it to like 820 this season and then lost a couple last night so I dipped under 800 to finish.

I’m pretty sure it’s based on the highest rank you achieved.

Yeah I went from the past two seasons playing entirely in the high 700s low 800s (never made WS), but this season I played entirely between 620 and 680 and just basically went .500.
What I noticed about this season is it didn't matter the level of my opponent (XP or actual perceived skill), the quality of their team versus my team, or the quality of the starting pitcher, almost every single game was decided by one run or was otherwise very close. If I was dominating a silver XP with a low-diamond budget squad with prestige Orel, he was similarly dominating me with Michael Kopech. If I was crushing Kluber against a max prestige XP, he was dominating whoever I was throwing.
It's gotten to the point where I actually think that the game puts its finger on the scales of online play to make them close and "fun." Maybe that's just conspiracy and the game is just really inconsistent especially on All-Star.

My first year playing DD. Prior to this RS I was playing predominantly on AS with a late push into HOF. This season was spend almost entirely in HOF and its certainly true that AS is a complete [censored] shoot. HOF is much better and generally speaking the better player tends to win. Sure there are occasional WTF moments, but far far less than on AS. Hopefully I start above that threshold in the new RS!

This was the easiest season for me personally. I’ve never made WS before and somehow managed to win 13 straight games to break 900. It’s probably just a fluke but I’ll take what I can get.
-
This was the first time I’ve ever tried to go for WS so idk how the grind usually plays out. I’ve always just quit when I get to 700 and played a lot of events. But I didn’t lose a game after I hit 650 and got to WS so I may start grinding more Ranked in future seasons
-
They will get tougher as the season moves along. By August most of the people that just play this game for a while move on to Madden and other games. But the hardcore top players just keep on trucking. So essentially by this time of the year, and definitely by September all the part time average players have moved to other games and arent here to beat up on anymore. It is the same every year. No season is easier to make WS then the first few.
-
I’m finishing at 740, couldn’t get any higher than 780. This was only the second time I’ve ever made DS but not CS that I can remember. The goons were out in force. Still, I’ll take it, I started off on All Star and knew it was gonna be a hell of task to make WS.
-
I broke 900 three times this season and made WS in the first week or so. Easy work!
But all jokes aside, RS is getting harder, largely because the casual players are switching to other games (like other players have mentioned). Only play RS when you're awake and focused. I usually only play one or two games a day to avoid losses as much as possible.

It’s an unpopular opinion, but I really do tend to agree with you on your last thought. It’s obvious that SOMETHING is going on behind the scenes.
