I have yet to see anybody attempting to bunt when I shift my defense to 'bunt defense' mode.
What's annoying are guys like you and the poster who mercy rule someone and that's not good enough just because your opponent attempted to drag bunt a few times. Just adjust your defense and quit whining.

I’m 100% for bunting to advance runners but if you drag bunt with a speed-stacked lineup, I have 0 respect for you. Buddy deserved the 14-4 mercy rule.
If you held him to only four runs, seems like his strategy isn't all that good.

It's funny. You talk to or watch any top tier players and if someone bunts down 3rd against them with a lefty shift they'll almost always say something to the effect of "fair play"
In real life MLB, if Ortiz or Cano would bunt down 3rd agaisnt the shift the opponent would happily accept that and take the bat out of their hands.
And yet here you are, so entitled that you won't take 3 seconds to adjust your defense in a video game with a PRESET OPTION, and then cry foul because someone bunted. This is 100% on you, and you look really salty and pathetic.
But hey, at least you mercied him right?

If you have guys like Brock, Robinson, etc and AREN’T bunting to get on base when the defense is back, you’re not playing right. Why would you not use a player’s greatest asset against a team that is refusing to defend against it?
To me it’s just as frustrating to run into a team where everyone is juiced, and the guy scores 6 runs on 6 hits. And unlike with bunting, you can’t change your defense to account for an absolute bomb squad. For the record, I’m much more the latter here - I think Mantle is my best bunter, and I’m not bunting with him. But I have no problem with people playing however they want - I just don’t see the issue with bunting when it’s honestly so easy to prevent.

My reading skills are just fine, in your second paragraph you just seemed a little touched by my comments as you said myself and the poster were annoying because we’re complaining about people who continuously drag bunt in games as we were just speaking our opinions.
But everyone is entitled to enjoy the game as they want, as you are to disagree about our complaints.

I have to agree with a lot of this. If I forget to bring change my defense to bunt when someone like Carew is up, then that is my fault. An exploit would be if you bring them in and they still get on all the time. I don't find that to be the case. Bunting is a part of the game for some people and was for Carew. Adjust defense, take the win and move on. Most people that do this can't hit.
I am currently playing with Gwynn, Lofton, Carew and Rollins just for the hell of it. People shift on me all the time but even if they don't, I play the game to swing the bat. I will occasionally sac bunt but that is just baseball.

Drag bunting is an obvious exploit of the game in terms of infielders still having little sense of urgency.
It’s pretty much the cheapest way to get a hit and as mentioned above, just makes for an annoying gameplay experience.
It’s not make or break but drag bunting this year is way too effective and needs to be adjusted
That's like complaining that your pitcher is less effective if all you throw are fastballs down the middle.
If someone looks like they are going to bunt, I bring the 2nd baseman in "half way". It gets them out most of the time - at least enough so that bunting is not a a good strategy.

Exactly. And, when you shift to Bunt Defense, you don't even need that good of a defesnive infielder at 3B or 1B to field the bunt and get the batter out. Major leaguers, playing way in can generally field a very slowly hit bunt and accurately throw to first base.
