Recently pulled Ernie Banks, and I'm debating selling and going with Hornsby. Hornsby would replace Jackie, and I'd stick with Rollins at short.

    Better combo:
    Rollins and Robinson
    Rollins and Hornsby
    Banks and Robinson

The best combo is the group that you hit best with.

You have no reason to sell one card and get another until you use that card, a lot. Everyone hits differently using these cards. In the words of my favorite retired fire chief: "Only you can prevent making poor decisions with your cards".

Hornsby is an absolute god. Batting well over .500 with him and he’s always hitting clutch bombs.

I run Rollins and Horsby right now its a really solid balance of offense and defense up the middle.

Why not Banks-Hornsby? I don't see how to justify Rollins over Banks... for what, some speed and a small uptick with the glove? Banks is legendary, Rollins is not. Hornsby is best 2B ever to play. Banks over a season is probably around 0.5 DWAR, Hornsby is probably 0.1 DWAR, they're not going to kill you defensively. Obviously, once Honus comes out, he's got short locked up.

    Cannot afford both, lol

I purchased Nolan Ryan, who I had success with last year to try to sure up my starting rotation.

Speed is actually extremely important at SS, the most important defensive position in the IF.

If you want offense at the SS position, Banks is the absolute answer. If you want defense at the SS position, Rollins is the easy choice.

Everyone has preferences for what they want, I don't think there is a wrong answer with cards for the rest of the year. They are all great.

As a Brewers fan, he was my first player to complete with Stage 3. I hit fairly well with him, but I feel he is middle of the road with everything.

Go with Rollins and Hornsby. I use Jackie to sub in for Rogers when he gets on base. Then I get the better defense too. If you like lefties better get Cano.

cap and hornsby.. Use posada or biggio at catcher and balanced ss. Best you can do on paper in my opinion. Banks is really bad at defense because of speed and reaction being slow and rollins pop is questionable at best but is a good balanced card.

    Rollins and Jackie.
This year's Hornsby card is not at good as his Sig card from last year... The attributes may be similar but his D is noticeably worse...especially if you put him at 3rd. The sig card played very well at 3rd last year, but this one has trouble with those hard hit grounders, which go right through him. And Roger's at 2nd base, doesn't seem to have the burst needed to snag those grounders up the middle... The HR Cano card suffers from this also, btw.

You've played 2 whole games in ranked for the entire year..Some context as to where/what mode Hornsby has exactly failed you in would be great for others who are reading...
