What most excites you about MLB The Show 20?

I'm excited to see the new game play improvements they have discussed so far. I started playing online half way through the summer so curious to see how I do over an entire year. The new 90's legends will be fun to use as well.

Be honest some of these legends are far from legends.....need a fourth tier......live, flashback, legend and hero.....those like olerud and roberts.....

It excites me that people can’t foul off a million balls and user input is more relevant

The first month is the most enjoyable imo

Good/Good contact resulted in a hit approximately 60 percent of the time during the beta.

I love early cycle RS for exactly this reason
I remember day 1 in 17 I played a guy who had harper, trout and every diamond monster Ls card. Afterward I was like [censored] BRO YOURE TEAM IS STACKED ALREADY!? And he sent me a pic of himself holding a stack of PSN cards and said he spent $1500 on the game already. Insane.
So you’ll still come across god squads.

Hoping the pitch actualy goes where intended with a perfect release. User input having more impact on what happens in game in general.

Right, but those are the outliers. Yeah, you're going to run into immortal Vlad or 99 Ted in the first month, but my point was that most people are saddled with lower overall cards early in the cycle.

If I come across a team like that first day of the game, I'll beat them with a silver lineup. Sano, Soler, Jay Bruce, etc. I'm all for people spending their money on what they want, but people who have stacked lineups like that day one are just throwing money down the drain for cards that will generally be worthless 3-4 months out.

I like that they said HR/9 doesn't effect DD gameplay

I play madden and MLB. What I really like about MLB is that I can jump into h2h right away without needing a stacked team (translation: dropping a couple hundo right off the rip).
Madden I always feel like I need to grind a while to get a decent team before I can jump into h2h since I really dont enjoy giving EA a dime of my money lol

The sliver of hope that Tim Lincecum is in this years game.

I love building the new squad from scratch.
I've already made a spreadsheet with all LS switch hitters from MLBTS 19 and plan to grab a lot of cheap silver and bronze values to form a nucleus to build from. As the golds and diamonds roll in these players will make a smooth transition to the bench.
