So your 11 run win yesterday was an example of not being decided by the computer..... but your losses today are? If one is decided by the computer, the other must also be decided/influenced. It just sounds like an example of "when I win its skill, but when I lose it's the game" You probably did not intend for it to sound that way, but that is the way it reads.

Especially on all star with the way the game plays its really tough for me to get back into it. Won 11-5 yesterday and get 2 and 1 runs today in losses when I’m still hitting decent to above average. It’s time to revamp the hitting engine. I know we’ve all seen this before but hopefully SDS gets the memo. We’ll see in the Beta

Obviously this is a split in the community and a complicated issue. I just don’t want SDS to go the road of bs content over gameplay EA. I post a decent amount about it because I want to spread awareness from a player who fell in love with the show in 2012 and into a baseball gaming culture that hadn’t changed since slugfest or the bigs. I love the game and SDS and want it improves. As to the post. I’ve posted maybe 10 times about it this year and I have about 50 other posts if not more and over 250 comments on the forum so no I wouldn’t qualify that as all the time. Merry Christmas though folks and SDS thank you for bringing back baseball gaming

This is SUCH a bad response. The worse team ALWAYS loses. Always. The reason why the Orioles beat the Yankees occasionally is because the team didn't play well, NOT because they got screwed and lined out all game. This logic makes no sense to me.

Did you read my comment? I said that yes, occasionally the better team loses because they didn't play well on the day, therefore making them a worse team ON THAT DAY. You will NEVER see a team lose because they lined out all game.

I think it's a little of both. There are defintely people out there who create a narrative in their head when facing an opponent that they are the "superior" players. But there are also a lot of players who have legitimate gripes

These are just two very recent examples of mine. This happens very frequently with MLB 19, where the person, who is objectively and significantly outperforming his opponent, loses due to RNG.

I think it's a little of both. There are defintely people out there who create a narrative in their head when facing an opponent that they are the "superior" players. But there are also a lot of players who have legitimate gripes
It is rare when someone gets on the forums to gripe when they win. The game isn't perfect, but every player has the same issues. To say that "you" are a better player and that the game cheats for your opponent is not an honest narrative. Most of the time we play people at a similar skill level. I am keenly aware when I play someone significantly better than I am, and I rarely win those games.

Doesn't surprise me at all. Not any more than the Detroit Tigers occasionally beating the Houston Astros. It happens in baseball. The data you are showing is misleading, or at least it is misleading to you. It does not take into account many factors, such as WHEN something happens. There are cards with very high clutch ratings that will definitely perform better late in a game and anyone can get lucky. If you have not scored runs for whatever reason it really is possible that someone less skilled can beat you. Sorry to burst your arrogance bubble.

Another weak argument.
For the tigers to beat the Astros they either play better than the Astros on that particular day or at the very least play to a very similar level which would leave an opening to for "luck" to play a factor.
This does not reflect what happens frequently in MLB the show where you can have one player objectively crushing the opponent (as is the case in my first example) and still lose. This does not reflect real life in any way.
Look at the PCI analyses objectively.
Clearly, you like the fact that the rng helps you more than it hurts you because otherwise you'd compete even less and this is why you try to come up with pathetic excuses for the rng.
Edit: it appears you dont even play ranked seasons (18 games all year) so your input is meaningless.

If you have ever played a competitive sport irl you would know that it’s not always being better often if about being timely.l and sometimes a bit of luck. There are so many factors that go into any given win. The best team or athlete in sports doesn’t always win. I think of Anderson Silva vs Sonnen or Derek Jeters career. But whatever, some people want to think that some outside force or ent is holding them down...grievance mindset, instead of growth mindset

I’m not sure what your ranked seasons record is, but of your losses, do you find that many of them occur after blowing a lead in the 7th, 8th, or 9th? I lose in all sorts of ways, but some of which occur after losing my lead in the latter innings. If you find that you don’t struggle with blowing leads late, what are some of the strategies you use to keep that from happening?
