I just beat Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order yesterday. All of my “good/squared ups” crushed enemy stormtroopers, and I had fun. Break open your piggy bank and go play that game since you clearly don’t like this one.

How is that? In all seriousness?

I thought it was really good overall. Slightly buggy at times, but nothing game breaking. I found the 3D map a little hard to follow, and there is no cursor or anything like that pointing to your next objective so I got lost a couple of times. I also didn't like that there isn't any fast travel, especially for post game clean-up. If you missed a collectable at the very end of a level, you have to fly back to the planet, walk all the way back there, and then walk all the way back to the ship.
As a whole though, I enjoyed the game a lot. The story and combat are great. If you have any interest in Star Wars, I would give it a shot. Especially since it has already been on sale a few times. It's currently $45 on Amazon which is about what I got it for. $50 on PSN if you prefer digital. Don't bother with the deluxe edition. You only get a couple of skins, a digital art book, and some behind the scenes videos.

That’s odd. Sometimes just before engaging a group of storm troopers, my Cal would power off his lightsaber and chuck it into a pond. It’s crazy how some guys play differently for some people.

Thanks for that, I will definitely give it a go

Imput does not matter, so the newbie can compete, sds is pathetic and this game will be that garbage Madden in 2 more years.
If i put doesn’t matter than you should be able to win games by never moving the PCI and by throwing random pitches down the middle.
If both of those things aren’t true then input matters. If i put matters then knowing the correct input does and having that knowledge requires some level of skill and experience therefor newbies would not on average win as much.
Otherwise if input did not matter then the leaderboards would be a random mix of newbs and seasoned players and we would rarely see people consistently there
You may wish you had more control but then there a few questions you need to ask
1 where does the line between sim and arcade begin and end
2 What level of impact should card stats have
3. What are the guys consistently at the top of the leaderboard doing that I am not -

Dude, have you seen Fallout 76? Anthem? And you come here saying MLB The Show has the worst developers ever? Your hyperbole just makes it easy to dismiss your claims.
I don't think anything will come close to the letdown that is/was Fallout 76. I'm still heartbroken over it

I hope you both realize Star Wars is a fantasy game that does not attempt to be competitive nor does it have to be beholden to the laws of physics. You can’t force push a [censored] baseball and if you were playing competitively how would you determine whose force push would win out. Jedi pitcher or Sith batter

I’m a little confused by your post. Could you explain to me how you interpreted my response so I can understand what you are attempting to say?

Why do you think some good/squared up ballz (seriously, again with the stupid filter???) which should be moonshots die at the track? The pitcher's force pull was stronger than the batter's force push. Why do some pitches low and out of the zone get smashed over the wall when the batter had poor timing and didn't even square it up? The batter's force push was stronger than the pitcher's force pull.
It's all about the midichlorians. Unfortunately for us, midichlorian count is a hidden stat which is not displayed when you look at card attributes.

You know what, that makes a ton of sense. I apologize to all for my post.

I have been obviously punished today. 3 straight ranked games nothing but line outs or hard hit double plays. My opponents swing early or late and are rewarded. This game is turning into hot trash that rewards horrible timing not good timing.
-
I will give you how messed up this game is. When you play someone who is using yordan of and soler cf and they run balls down griffey and ichiro can’t. I’m so tired of the defense, the late homeruns that cost you wins or the 22 to foul tips keeping the at bat alive for a very lat weak hit

This game has been a hot mess the entire cycle. Best thing I've done this cycle is to put the thing down. Stop playing it. Problem solved.

Yeah I believe I am done for a while after today. I’m tired of being the better player and not being rewarded. I played a guy who swung early on everything and was rewarded, where as my good contact and timing were outs. I think I’ll wait for the beta, give my opinion and hopefully they listen to us. Because if they don’t fix it the cross system game will be the downfall of sds

The game is far from perfect, but if you honestly think SDS has the worst developers in gaming then you are clueless. If everything you say is a ridiculous exaggeration, no one will take you seriously.
Their devs suck
Very hard to say they suck when there is no one else out there to compete with them. If EA or 2K or any other label were to get the MLB License & release a baseball game. Then 1 can compare the 2 & give an opinion which 1 is better or worse. But impossible to say 1 is the worse when it's the ONLY 1 out there. If anything they are the best because there is no one out there to even challenge their product.
I agree you can’t compare to other baseball games. But, do you really think they’re good at what they do for this game? I bet you they have one senior dev. and the rest is straight out of college. I’ve played all the other sports games in the last 3 years and the game play for other sports were more real life. Call of duty doesn’t screw up, soccer is great, basketball online play is very good...need to spend some money on new devs to become great again.

My guess is that you just suck, and need someone to blame.

You are not done with it. You will be back tomorrow. You are simply complaining because you lose sometimes, or perhaps because you suck at the game.

I'm 49 years old. Been playing EVERY baseball video game for every console going back to Atari 2600 & ColecoVision. I seen how every game advanced thru the years with graphics, features, modes, game play, etc. I can honestly say MLBTS is the BEST of all of them. Again it is not perfect & very far from perfection. Many things I do not like with MLBTS. some of my posting topics reflect upon those things. But overall as a whole. this game is really really good. Can you name any other title for any console that was better then what MLBTS is right now. No you can not. Your issue is that you seek a game that is perfect or that will cater 100% to what "you" want it to be for just "you" only. Sorry to burst your bubble, but that game will never ever come into existence within your lifetime.

It’s almost 2020 and SDS has made the gameplay worse in the last couple of years. With all the technology, that shouldn’t be happening as often. It’s the people who oversee the programming and the people who approve the gameplay is the problem. They have improved in certain areas, no doubt about it. But gameplay is not one of them.
