Has anyone used both Ozzie and Yount? I've been playing with Ozzie because, like a couple others have said, I love the defense. I feel I need a little right-handed power, though, and he may be the odd man out... wondering how much of a step down Yount's defense would be.
-
Mondesi and Rollins are solid from both sides.
-
Alan Trammell is a good SS. Doesn't hit many HRs, but he's got great contact vs. left and right, and great fielding.

I don't think its a step down at all really... not that I have noticed... The only thing I miss having Yount now is that switch hitting of Ozzie.. Otherwise Yount is solid

Thanks, @jjsmith605. I appreciate it.

Big fan of Jazz Chisholm. Just pray you don't match up against Hal though since he is not good against lefties.
I love jazz and I do semi decent with him against lefties. I hit a game tying homer with him the other day off of Hal

I’ve played a good amount with both and prefer a Yount. Defensive difference is negligible. The main downside is the lower speed.

Derek Jeter cap. My best player.
Let me guess. A switch hitting Derek Jeter.
Nope. And he’s even 36. Ain’t no youngen

I have still been using Didi at SS. I did finally get on track with Correa a little bit. But Didi has simply been too good to take out of the lineup for me.

Sounds crazy, but Vidal Brujan has outplayed every single SS I’ve tried out this year. Glitchy swing that can put the ball outta the yard, gets to every groundball, and steals bags easily. Been my leadoff since he dropped, and a huge part of my WS run!
Could not agree more, has batted lead off for me every single game and is wayyy better than what his attributes state. One of the most consistent hitters on my team
-
I have to say, Vidal Brujan is probably one of the safest bets at an all around card for a SS right now. Primary position is 2B but plays SS well. Ive played 350 AB’s worth with him (however that translates to innings played) and only have 1 error. Speed on the base pads, enough power to go yard, can put a bunt down if needed, Switch hitter.
Im having a hard time getting anyone to replace him in the line up. Not many middle infielders that have all the tools that he has. Definitely guys with more power but I have that in other places. Consistently my 1 or 2 hitter since I’ve had him.
-
Small sample, but I'm really liking Michael Young. Great swing and stance.
-
I know you sold him already, but 20 ABs is too small a sample size imo. If I axed everyone I was poor with through 20 ABs, I would have missed out on a lot of my most beloved cards.

I can't hate. My Mark McGwire learned how to hit from the left side...
