Comparing walker to bonds is stupid...
It's comparing a great player, and HOFer to literally a top 3 greatest ever player if not greatest ever...It's like comparing Vince Carter to Michael Jordan...

Bonds better than Walker?!?! He’s lost it.
Bonds literally has more than DOUBLE the career WAR than Walker. And Walker played at Coors. That's just asinine
What would Bonds have for WAR if he played at Coors? 200+?
The same... It takes into account the ball park.
Ok maybe I don't fully understand WAR, but wouldn't he have more home runs and doubles, in Coors? So wouldn't that increase his WAR?
No, because it accounts for inflation based on ballpark. Similar to what wRC+ does.
Welcome to 21st century baseball analytics! I mean that in a nice way
I understand some of it and other things I don't. I guess I'm still a little more traditional or old school.

Lmao if you’re arguing that Walker is better than Bonds you lose any credibility you ever had. Bonds is the best player to ever play the sport.
To say that Bonds is the best player to ever play the game of baseball is just as ignorant as trying to say that Larry Walker is better then Bonds. Bonds wasn’t as good as his own Godfather for starters. Barry Bonds was a great player and yes he was better then Walker. You talk about credibility then drop a statement like that??? Lmao cmon you’re better then that.
-
For me it was the opposite. I saw Oracle park and went "Aw man it's not a Rockie" then saw purple, held my breath, and lost my goddamn mind when they showed Walker.
Best troll ever by SDS.

Show me statistics that back up your point. And not being better than Willy Mays still puts you top 3 greatest ever, even though he beats Mays in pretty much every category.
The only strike against bonds is of course steroids.. if you ignore than, nobody is close to him other than the babe himself -

The only strike against bonds is of course steroids.. if you ignore than, nobody is close to him other than the babe himselfYou are joking right? The “only” strike against bonds is of course steroids. If you “ignore” that lmao..... you are asking me to show you stats to prove that Bonds wasn’t the best player in history and ignore the second half of his career where his own stats were ridiculously inflated because of steroids??? That is a joke. When every other non using player hits their peak and starts to become “mortal” again, he became an absolute god. But based on all of those inflated stats he was the best ever? You can’t compare him to guys like Mays, Ruth, Mantle, Aaron and others because we will never know what they may have done on steroids.
And before you start.... I’m not against the steroid users. Bonds did it because he was seeing what clearly inferior guys like McGwire and Sosa were doing while using. It’s sad but that was the culture of the times. I’m not upset at Bonds for using, but to say that he’s the best ever when we will never see what the other all time greats could have done with the very same advantages is absolutely ridiculous. I can’t even imagine what type of stats they would have put up if they were users. Even without the use of steroids some players were better. Lmfao... -
Nobody was better than Bonds when he ate every PED he could at the buffet.

I mean there’s literally no need to entertain this argument. If that’s what you think I’ll just keep in mind that I can’t take anything you say about baseball seriously. Bonds wasn’t a “great player” he was the best player. Numbers don’t lie, and If you want to discredit him due to the steroid stuff then explain to me why every steroid user didn’t put up these numbers?
-
The fact is, Bonds was an inner circle HOFer before roids. Then he became god.. many were using.. nobody could do what bonds did..
It's like Thanos getting the gauntlet haha.. I feel like a nerd saying that, but it's a great analogy -

Where are you getting that from? I checked both fWAR, and bWAR have Ruth ahead
Ruth 168.4 fWAR 182.5 bWAR
Bonds 164.4 fWAR 162.8 bWAR -

Lol... exactly who is arguing that Bonds wasn’t the best player of his time? I never once said that. Did you read my other post about him using? I’m not discrediting him at all. He WAS the best player of his time with or without steriods. I’m not sure what your issue is. I said that you can’t compare him to all time greats because we don’t know what their numbers would be if they took the same “treatments” that Bonds did. Mays Mantle Ruth and Aaron just to make a few on steroids?? I can only imagine what numbers that they would have put up. Why exactly do you think that former super stars are so upset with steroid era players?
Either wake up or learn to read. -
It all depends on where you go to check WAR. Baseball reference has 3 plays ahead of Bonds. Ruth, Johnson, and Young.

So, total WAR, whether it be through Baesball Referance, or Fan Graphs, has Ruth higher, as well as higher offensive WAR, but you are going with positional WAR as your argument that Bonds was better? Obviously Ruth's pitching should come into play as well, considering he was great at that too.
I suppose if you are arguing that Bonds was a better overall outfielder, I guess you can make that argument. Otherwise, its Ruth all day, every day. No disrespect in being the second best baseball player of all time though, which would be Bonds.

Pretty accurate.
It's Babe and Bonds 1a/1b to me.. then Mays, and everyone else
