Negro League Players

I want a Satchel Paige, he was HUGE.
Many of the Negro league guys are now in the HOF, so SDS can in fact use them in the game.
A bit off topic, but as a KC area native, if you are ever in Kansas City the Negro League baseball museum is absolutely incredible. The MLBPA donated over a million a few years back, but it was started by Negro League players donating money to keep it open. It's now over 10,000 square feet and full of exhibits.
As you exit, there is a baseball diamond with life size statues of players playing in various action poses at their positions. Standing next to Satchel Paige on the mound is a breath taking experience.
The MLB HOF has no licensing rights for those players. SDS has to go through the individual or company managing the player's likeness to add them in the game if they aren't an active player.

They need to purchase their rights individually and I’m not sure how they would grade the cards because of a different level of competition(not in a racist way)
The same way they grade cards that played in 1900 or prospects who have never taken a single [censored] at bat in the majors.

Theres a survey live right now linked at the top of the page. Take it and suggest these players.

He wasn’t that huge. Sure, he was 6’3, but he only weighed 180 lbs.
Really, though, some of the Negro League players would be a lot of fun and a welcomed series. Jackie, Satchel, Gibson, Cool Papa Bell, Pop Lloyd, Rube Foster, Turkey Stearnes...etc.

Why are there very few Negro League Players in this game? With the current state of our country now is as good a time as any to honor those amazing players by putting them in the game. I did a little research last night and it got me interested even more about the Negro League. There were some studs that played in the NL. According to MLB there are 35 Negro League players in the National Baseball Hall of Fame. The only one I recognized on that list that has ever been in the game is Monte Irvin. WIth the absurdity of the Future Stars it's obvious they need new ideas. Why not Negro League players SDS??????
https://www.mlb.com/news/negro-leaguers-in-the-national-baseball-hall-of-fame
With the state of this country right now, what we need is cards of players that have fought the oppressive and deadly systems of socialism and communism.
Orlando "El Duque" Hernandez is a great example of a new addition who risked his life to escape the deathgrip of communist cuba. http://www.espn.com/30for30/film/_/page/brothersinexile#:~:text=Film Summary&text="Brothers in Exile" tells the,to get off the island.&text=Staying behind was Orlando%2C who,of having helped Livan escape.
El Duque's life matters and his story of escape is worth highlighting.
Black Lives Matter, and they do not deserve to be subjected to a socialist/communist movement attempting to be instilled by the political group fronting that name. Black Lives do not deserve to be exploited further.
What makes the movement socialist or communist? Nothing. Stop listening to Fox.

The fact it is a socialist/communist political movement as defined by themselves on their own website https://blacklivesmatter.com/what-we-believe/
Read their own website... They define themselves as a political group in right there... In their belief statement they outright refer to each other as "comrades" ... The black community does not refer to each other as "comrades", however, socialists/communists do. Look at those values on their own site, it's Marxism 101. All you have to do is read their material.
This organization also held an event in 2015 in which they had Nicolas Maduro come speak to them in Brooklyn to speak to them about social changes and invigorate them.
I didn't see this in Fox. I saw it own their own website.

Would be cool for black history month each year to have a Negro leagues program.

Comrades against the oppression of black people. Comrades isn’t a term exclusive to communism, you just hear that in media so much. It is an organization fighting for black people. If equity between races and the end of systemic racism means their socialist, then so be it.

I think they should have been in a long time ago and I have my reasons as to why I think they aren't but they might not be the same as SDS.

I am all up for adding them but i want to know do you want their negro league stats to represent their attributes? They would have future stars attributes then. Like if they added saduharu oh from japan who hit 868 home runs his stats would be babe ruth with better speed and defense.

Paige is in the MLB HOF, so yes they do
He was the first African American to pitch in the world series and was elected to the MLB HOF in 1971.

I put this on the retired player survey. I want them to add Negro League players... I think it will add a true diamond dynasty feel to be able to player with Negro League players, Dead Ball, Live Ball, Steroid Era. Modern Players, Prospects, basically allowing you to have the best of the best.

Haha, I haven't a clue how they do the ratings on the players. I don't get it. I'm not even sure SDS knows their own rating system.

Oscar Charleston would be an amazing addition too...

It's a licensing issue. Strat-o-matic had the same issue but was able to get it done.
SDS can too, just don't expect it this year. It takes time.
Strat-o-matic!!! MLB the Show of the 1970's. Loved that game.
