19 is playable sure your going to have games with a bunch of BS but then you also have good games. 18 is just bad the worst installment of the show
I’m not even looking at the games of getting bs’d I’ve literally felt bad for my opponents that outplay me and lose. I have on several occasions watched an opponent crush ball after ball to the defense good squared to have me late and early swing on a pitcher I was just having trouble with for hits/runs. They get barely any hits and One time I just quit and gave them the win...It sickens me if I win or lose.
This isn’t a sore losing thing whatsoever. It’s a gameplay issue. I can’t comment on 20 but but I’m slightly more optimistic
I can deal with a few hard hit outs not the whole game. Or just a varied undistinguished series of outcomes that are inconsistent and make no sense.

The worst thing about 18 imo was the pitch speeds. Other than that, 19 isn't much better imo. People exaggerate how bad 18 was

Slow pitch speeds, Immortal grind, only one type of player being viable, wind, least lineup diversity in the entire series etc etc.

19 was able to balance out some pretty terrible gameplay with fantastic content and keeping people engaged. So because of that, it beats 18 by a long shot. I couldn't even hardly bother to play last year past September and almost didn't buy this year because of it, I hope they never bring back such a limited experience of DD. I do believe 19s gameplay is the worst it's ever been, but I also believe that's because they're trying new things and just gotta make a few tweaks, but it's still fun...ish. 20 is the year boys. I can feel it.

You didn't realize how bad 19 was until you came back? You mean besides all the other times you've posted that 19 was worse than 18? You always repeat your posts.

Amazing that most of you guys still play a baseball game you hate so much in January after the season is over. Go play something else and wait for 20 if its so bad. Only two months to wait. That said, I do not believe you think 19 is as bad as you claim. If you are still playing at this point you apparently just enjoy complaining.

Sure, but that doesn't invalidate his point. I don't think he even called it a "great game", just if you are still playing at this point, you have to have enjoyed it somewhat.
Just because it's the only real baseball videogame on the market, doesn't mean if people truly hate it, they should keep playing. It's like the definition of insanity. Doing the same thing but expecting a different result. If the OP truly believes this is the worst iteration yet, why keep coming back? The "only baseball game" doesn't hold water for a person that has expressed this much hate towards a game.

I believe what he's getting at is that people should be going back to a game they enjoy. For me that's 17, I haven't played it in some time but might if 20 doesn't have oFM

Try to play a football game when you don't really like that sport (hypothetical because I like football but don't really like Madden but you get the point), play a story mode game and advance 1% of the game in that 45 minutes? or play a ranked season online game or 2 possibly 3 BR games?

I get your logic, and I'm not saying in all cases what I'm saying applies.
But Madden used to be my main online game before I played MLB. The way EA treated it made me mad every time I played. So I stopped, why would I want my main game to be something I despise?It's illogical for the OP to despise the game so much, yet keep it as his main game.
I would rather spend my 45 minutes that you referenced on something I enjoy, obviously the OP does not enjoy 19, so why spend free-time on something that is awful? -
I took 1 month and only came back because the Beta, this game plays so horribly

Lineouts are a problem but I don't complain too much about that, they work for both sides even though it's frustrating. My issue is low power to center and oppo, which is infuriatingly difficult -

19 and 17 are pretty close IMO. I think overall gameplay is better in 17 but only limited to a certain swing type because of the topspin issue and poor servers bring 17 much closer to 19

Don’t forget that in 17, all those very late jammed bloop singles from 19 become 100mph exit velocity bombs.
