stage 1 final bosses on veteran.. should I wait 2 strikes every batter to drain energy? contact, normal or power swing? zone or directional?

looking for the best approach from someone who has made the comeback multiple times, as we all know showdown plays entirely different than any other mode

Only time I’ve been able to do it is against Hader because he has no stamina. But I think even great players would have trouble beating it without any runs. Especially with all the lineouts, gold glove plays etc

One pitch, one location. I usually choose fastballs up on the inner half and don't swing at anything else. Depending on who the final boss is, you can try to wait them out and drain their energy, or just hack at your one pitch regardless of the count. I always just use normal swing with zone. But if you're down to your final couple outs and your winning run is on base, don't be afraid to contact swing.

Im pretty good at this game. A seasoned veteran who sweats in every ranked game sitting at 60-17. I dont even bother trying down 15-0. I at least play through the first boss to make it 15-4

How do you skip the other bosses, levels? I thought you had to play all of them?

I've actually just started doing this and what I tend to do is just try and lower the pitchers confidence. I see that as more important than lowering their stamina. Obviously you have to get hits to do that, so I focus one area of the zone, and try to hit hangers when they throw them. It's a good warm up in my opinion even though it's on veteran. It helps you focus a little more.

Totally agree with this, lowering confidence is key, I just want to add that getting a walk can lower confidence as well, and sometimes more than getting hits. Patience is super important.

0-15 is very difficult against Walker Buehler in my experience, but with the rest of the guys you can wait for 2 strikes or a middle to high 4 seam and fight off the slider/curves. Hader can be tough if you don’t drain his stamina.
