I’m pretty sure the game is intended to play like this. Saying it’s bad programming is kind of missing the point.

Actually my buddy is the hardcore RS dude, I like the collecting and only play online for the rewards I need. But keep supporting bad programming kitten.. YOU SO BRAVE! I only play online while drinking to save my sanity . -
When the only saving grace of your online play option is "hey hope the person i am playing gets screwed more than me" you got a problem.

Exactly, its really good programming. It's made to play as it does. Goog programming with bad results but that is what they want.
