Per 9’s vs. PCI size

Just ask them what “clutch” does and you’ll quickly realize they have no intention on explaining how the attributes work. I can handle mediocre gameplay, that’s most games these days, but they at least still tell me what the attributes do and how the game works.

Clutch is 7th inning or later, or runners on base.. at least that is what I remember them saying in multiple streams

You should look up Ramone's explanation of the pci in a stream a year ago. You got a better chance of landing on the moon in your underwear than you do understanding his explanation.

Why is all info scattered in streams / can they just compile it????? It’s useful, if not critical information

They are either incompetent or master trolls

Trolling patrons of your game withholding or at least making information extremely hard to find, leans more towards incompetence, for sure

The Devs had the breakdown of BB/9 on another companies forum (operation sports) for a few years before they ever explained it on stream or on their own website.
I understand certain things being kept a secret, otherwise someone breaks down the best players like we would cars in a racing game and use nobody else but some of the things they refuse to share are just annoying.
You can tell us each pitches individual attributes SDS it’s not going to hurt anybody. We know what daddyleagues is we just don’t know WHY daddyleagues is. My pitchers pitch attributes should be IN THE GAME IM PLAYING not on some other off-brand website.

Yeah it’s just comical - they have a tsn website w forums , community market etc - can we get a game mechanics section please

I wish they would compile this information , even if most people never look at it. Instead of random mentions in a stream that we have to ask each other about and ceate a record of. Just info dump this stuff in one spot we can refer to
The information is provided in some detail in the strategy guide (in game pause menu).

I've said this repeatedly for 3 years now. It's all a guess most of the time as to what the ratings actually do. Kind of sad really that they won't explain it. But I guess it does make sense. If they don't explain it, then you can never prove something is off if it isn't right.
That said, as I understand it, H/9 affects PCI inner size, K/9 affects PCI outer size. Supposedly, yes, PCI can change depending on the pitcher's stamina and confidence but I haven't seen an accuracte description of how on either of them.
Also, quirks can come into play. There are certain "active" quirks like road warrior or homebody (I think that's what it's called). They give a PCI boost for your batter depending on the situation. Road warrior will give your guy a boost in road games, for instance. To what degree does it affect it, I'm not sure. I found a website that explained the quirks one time, but I can't remember it now. It's the quirks that are home/away, night/day, fastball/breaking ball and, I think, first pitch.
There's also like one or two for pitchers that, I think, affect PCI size. Like the ones where the pitcher is better with runners on or something.

I know this is old stuff, but can someone tell me where I can this this stream?

Here’s this year’s hitting stream: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/547916241 This is most up-to-date, but it’s not the one they’re discussing here. That was a pre-19 stream so might not be relevant anymore. I will look for it and edit this post with the link.
Edit: pre-19 drop hitting stream: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/380702747

H/9 - contact.
K/9 - vision.
Power numbers also play a role.
BB/9 has nothing to do with PCI size.So those are the only two stats that effect pci size, along with stamina? As stamina goes down pci goes up , also confidence but that’s another story aside form an attribute you can judge a card by.
Also would Hr/9 attack the power numbers in a similar way
Not sure how pitcher's confidence and stamina interact with the PCI size precisely, they never gave clarification of this mechanic. HR/9 does nothing, they took that out of the mix last year and is only a simulation attribute.
@raesONE so then a guy like Gerrit Cole with that horrendous HR/9 of like 50... that won’t even come into play for online play? Kluber has a bad HR/9 rating as well... nothing to worry about?

It used to, but they removed it last year when the community complained that the attribute affected the exit velocities too much. They seemed incapable of balancing it out so they removed it from the mix altogether and made it a simulation only attribute, which it always had been up until last year.
This year they have touched down once or twice on this saying that HR/9 was not part of the mix, but I have to admit that I'm a little skeptical and had doubts before, but I usually still ignore the attribute. But at the end of the day, I'm not an SDS developer so I can't say with 100% certainty. -
