Opponent disconnects mid homerun and I get the loss

If you got the L doesn't that mean you were the one who lost connection, not your opponent? If either player disconnects does it give the L to whoever was currently losing or to whoever disconnected?

I've been handed about 5 losses this year already bc of opponents closing app. Most in events so not too big of a deal but definitely frustrating to get a loss due to someone else disconnecting.

This post happens every year. The only way you get a loss from a disconnect is if you lose internet. Your opponent didn’t use an exploit or everyone would do it all the time. SDS doesn’t pick a person to lose a game, or flip a coin to give losses. I had the same problem for 18 and part of 19. I switched internet companies and haven’t had one disconnect loss since.

This does nothing. Everytime I have emailed them & provided video proof they respond in a couple hours saying they’re sorry for my experience but they can’t change W/L records.

I Had the same thing happen to me, SDS gave me 3 free packs. I mean it didn't give me the L or points back, but I was able to get free bronzes!

My internet is so bad I worry when it dc’s, but even with that I’ve only had 1 like this and I chalked it up to shaky connection

No true this year, Happen to me for the first time ever, Been playing online since 2016. I am hard wired into my PS4. I was winning 4-0 and got a lost connection thought the other player quit. Not sure how I lost connection and started another game right after that. Differently an issue. The L goes to who allegedly disconnects.
