I nearly choked on my coffee when I saw this. I don’t think the Yankees woke up quaking in their boots this morning but let’s hope it’s the start of something, anything. Sign Encarnacion as DH and a CF and we might have an interesting 2020.

Why would you want encarnacion back, all he did was strike out in the playoffs.

Edwin would be a steady DH for the team that would help out with some of the young hitters. His bat his still feared until it playoff time plus going Bo, Biggio, Vald, Edwin, Shaw would be a pretty good offence. Maybe a little power happy but it's better then last year by a mile if it ends up that way

That wasn't meant to be a dig at being a Dodgers fan, heck I'd settle for winning the division every year. If EE strikes out for the Jays in the playoffs we've far exceeded our expectations for 2020!

Well, he wants Encarnacion back because their primary Designated Hitter, Rowdy Tellez, despite hitting for power (had 21 bombs and a .449 slugging percentage) and having a respectable, though not spectacular .751 OPS, he wasn't too good, as he hit just .227 and had a .293 on base percentage, which are obviously both terrible.

So the Jay's got the cy young runner up for 20k a year, not bad. I'm surprised the Dodgers didn't match that to keep him. I think we're going to regret not resigning him. Hes got great career numbers. Maybe they're planning a trade before deadline.
Or planning on Kershaw to come through lol.
