Final Push to WS
-
I have yet to make WS in the 10 months this game has been out. I'm ranked 844 right now and just came off of an intense win. I know that I've asked this before, but does any consistent WS player have tips to help me make the final push and not choke like I have in the past?

Honestly my advice would be to take your time, especially when you shoot up your next game, be patient at the plate. If you start pressing while hitting just pause for a few seconds and take a deep breath. Remind yourself that life isn't over if you lose that game lol.

Don’t be afraid to walk batters and don’t be afraid to go to the bullpen early.

Good luck bud I’m in the low 800s, got as high as 876 before I ran into some real good players and started hitting poorly. Going to make a final push tomorrow morning before the new season starts.

In the same boat. Then I started a loosing streak last night. Won 2 games earlier but it begins tonight. Just gotta be patient and don’t press. All will be fine. We can do this @Zakk3426

Same boat - sitting at 892 rn, been to the 880's twice this ranked season (24-10 for the season).
All comes down to an all or nothing game tonight after work.

For me getting more contact into my lineup at that level really helps. Most players pitch well at that point, and have good teams. Seems that at or above 850 I have more success with a contact/speed approach than with the power hitter approach.
Also, when above 800, it's helped to limit the matchmaking search to +/- 100 ranking points from me. It limits the likelihood of taking -35 losses...most of the losses will be -10/-15.

I was at 861 yesterday, i faces someone who i had a perfect game against until the 6th inning, then he drew a walk. And hit a game tying 2 run jack on a screwball about 5 inches below the line, my catcher did the blocking animation and all, i was so heartbroken... because he went on to win 3-2. With only 3 hits i think? I was in absolute control and then the game said Nope not today lol
