70 power is basically 55 when compared to 16.

If a perfect fly ball on a high middle 96mph fastball with a 75 power guy is not a homerun, why even have perfects??? Just take them out of the game, it’s ridiculous.
The threshold is 80 power so what happened there is not a mistake.
There is no threshold. That was all pre-1.04.

I gave up a no doubter to a guy with 60 power on good/good. But a high power perfect flyball results in nothing. It’s a flaw design.

Depends also on how tired the pitcher was, pitcher confidence. The pitch that was thrown. Its not just power and pci placement

That has absolutely nothing to do with how far a ball can go. What you mention helps dictate the pitch location, speed, and break.

Guys, Guys...turn the [censored] info screen off...you newbies and people who apparently who have been playing this game for years still has the info screen on?...huh?...why?. Turn it off....okay just use it for the first week of getting the game but when you get your timing on, why do you still have it on?

@joshjays44 this is like the 4th thread I’ve been on that you’ve brought your negativity to. Is your life so sad that you have to troll on a baseball video game forum of all places?

I just hit a perfect perfect fly ball caught for an out not even reaching the warning track with 95 Correa vs a Righty. Correa has 99 power vs righties...and the game was in a dome with no wind...so there is a mistake there

Lol he tries to hard too

Guys with less power who perfect/perfect should be getting gappers it’s annoying to square it up and just have it die at the wall there are more hit types than just homeruns
-
Yeah well, I hit a perfect/perfect flyball today and it hit the wall and deflected off the outfielder and fell to his feet. It was called a home run.
I also hit a no doubt bomb on a cutter just on the edge of the inner pci.
My last game I had my second basemen boot a double play ball and in trying to pick it up ran over top of it at least 4 times and never picked up the ball.
Maybe this game is just a steaming pile and is riddled with bugs, glitches, and poorly programmed engines.

Keep practicing, it'll make sense when you're good enough.

I think what most of you forget is that most major league players, regardless of this games homerun threshold, are capable of hitting the odd one out of the park. Hell, Dee Gordon can hit a homerun, it has to be a possibility for any batter threshold or not.

You are right.
Therein lies the dilemma for the programmers
Pure input, whilst desirable at our end (for some of us) needs to give in to randomness a little. If Bartolo and Dee can do it (off Bartolo, incidentally), then so be it.
You’ve made me reconsider my whole perspective of hitting in this game That sliver of hope I had that there would be a solution just got hit out of the park and into the Allegheny.
