You make a good point. I like to eat sunflower seeds, scratch my [censored], and look at my wife for signs in between pitches because that's baseball. God forbid a video game play like a video game.
The only time quick pitching was actually an issue was back in 17 when you could quick pitch to the opposing pitcher and steal a strike before they could pinch hit. That issue has been solved, so people can pitch as quickly to me as they want. I got [censored] to do.

It’s a video game. I don’t have time to play a 3 and a half hour game because that’s how long a ‘’real baseball’’ game lasts.

Come on man. I wasn't talking about a real-time nine-inning MLB game. But after I swing at a pitch, the next one shouldn't be coming at me before I'm back in my batting stance.

Right? Do people not realize this? No one should ever “quick pitch”. Only a strategic slide step, in which case you should be throwing a fastball out of the strike zone.

For me R2 is the only way to check on pitches and location as i turned off the Feedback

Quick pitching might be the most cheesy part about playing online. It's a baseball video game, not a basketball video game. Whenever I play a guy who brings this cheese, I will hit R2, step out of the box or pause the game repeatedly to slow things down.
Some people only have so much time to play and wanna get as many games in as they can. I’m fine with either way, you have to adjust. Past or present doesn't matter, this has always been done by some in the MLB. Holding R2 is very stinky cheese man lol

Finally! Someone said it. Baseball is more like chess than checkers.
I'm not a fan of "pace of play" rules in MLB. When I go to the ballpark I want to stay all day!

I dont think they're saying no slide step. I believe hes just referring to guys that are throwing a sequence of pitches as fast as the game allows.

If you like to quick pitch dont get mad at guys that like to hold r2. It's that simple.

It's a baseball video* game. I don't enjoy waiting 10 seconds between pitches. I don't want commercials or the 7th inning stretch either.
