Stage 2 affinities are pissing me off lately.

I don't know what the hell my problem is but for the last 2 days I can't even get past the 1st mini boss. I'm too late on every fast ball and anything I do put the pci on goes nowhere fast. And the couples days before that I was only getting to the final boss with anywhere from 3-8 runs.
I have 16 fotf and 13 FS so it's not like I'm total garbage. But lately things are crazy on my end. I can hit HRs no problem in this event but I can;t touch much from these min-bosses. I know they are on "veteran" but what the hell?

everyone wants to finish games fast, but you will see how much better you hit if you take pitches and get the pitcher tired. In showdown mode it’s a must to take pitches.

Like I said I do stage 1 without much trouble so I have a good idea how to handle mini bosses. And what does taking pitches have to do with all the times I square a ball up with good timing and it goes nowhere but the defenders glove over and over?

I play every mission so getting it done fast is not what I'm about. When I need an xbh and 2 runs I have only been getting 1 or the other. Everything I square up flutters to the outfield or somehwo pitches up in the zone that I square up go for an auto double play tht seems to happen anytime I have a runner on first.

Try doing some power swings. I really hate playing on Veteran. After awhile I have the same problem you have, just a complete offense outage. Power swing from time to time breaks me out for a few missions.

Yeah I have tried to mix in power swings from time to time. It has done wonders for me doing moments when needing an xbh or two.

The patch made showdowns unbearable. I had a string of 7 straight at bats that were good okay, good good , good squared, p/p, good squared, good good all for outs tonight. It was a mini boss battle against fingers and I won. But I sat there and just thought, is this ranked or the event
