He is sooooo outraged...you have to listen to him cry
Yeah I don’t get it, it’s literally a free card
I mean I don’t get the insane outrage but it could’ve and should’ve been Josh bell instead

Oh yeah that card would’ve been awesome honestly. I was expecting that card to be the lightning one, but I was surprised with the Correa choice. I’m not mad about it though.

Yeah but to create a whole thread to cry and whine is a little much.

If the Correa card comes with an audible trash can banging for a fastball selected by the opposing pitcher, I will be super pumped to get the card!!!

Putting a cheater on a pedestal, celebrating the stats from year he cheated. Directly after a half a year long investigation that dominated the narrative of our sport. Literally everyone looks down on the Astros from that year. To put these cards in, is an injustice to the sport plain and simple. Springer and now Correa, tone def or just immoral, that’s sds right now

Yes they cheated but who really cares for a video game? I personally dont care what the card is, I just want good cards. I couldnt care less its him or not
There are not good cards. There are cheap cards paid by Jim Crane.
LOL

get over it. Don’t do the moments. Free Stubs, Easy XP, Free Packs, Free Cards

All of that would still exist w out using a 2017 Astro, enjoy being morally bankrupt and your free things

Unlock Guess Pitch for these cards. Boom problem solved.

The stats on the card are based on stats inflated due to cheating, with so many other options..... why? Just why is all I’m saying. You either are lazy and have crappy content people on staff, or you intentionall choose to put these 2017 cheaters on a pedestal. It’s just sad
So does that mean you don’t use Gary Sheffield, Jason Giambi, Eric Gagne, Adalberto Mondesí, Brian Roberts, Ryan Braun, or Nelson Cruz? How about any from the cocaine era of the 80’s? Or the mid century players who used greenies? Almost every generation of baseball has some form of cheating to win, I don’t think it’s right, but it is what it is. It’s a free card, if you want it get it if not, just grind for the free packs, stubs, and xp

I think someone hit the nail on the head. No doubt someone in the Astros organization thinks it’s good PR, and maybe some advertising dollars were spent.
All you guys that are like, “who cares, it’s just a card, cry me a river” would probably feel differently if it were you who got cheated out of a title.

Sds chooses to put two 2017 Astro cards in this game. One postseason springer and one POTM . Both got those stats cheating, it’s proven. Your putting cards in the game based on stats that were inflated due to a complex cheating scheme. 2017 Astros should have been completely off the table! It’s not like it even limits your options much.
You could have used josh bell, the postseason one in prestige could have been literally 1000 other cards but you choose that one. Imo this is a conscious choice to celebrate cheating. I just don’t get it, if it’s an overlook, then people should be fired for incompetence. The gameplay is trash, they put trashcan cheaters on a pedestal. I’m about done w this game and hope another company can make an mlb game soon and be a little less tone def and hire some quality programmers
Imagine caring this much about a video game....
Relax man, there's no real life advantage to him or the team for his card being included in the game. You can make the choice to use him or not - that's entirely up to you - just like the choice to get mad about the card selection. It's entirely on you if you decide to get heated.
Do I agree with the level of cheating involved during the 2017 season? No. Do I care that it's being used in a video game? Not in the slightest. If the card came with some kind of pay to win advantage I'd have a gripe, but it's a free card you can choose to invest the time in or not.
Move on, and stop complaining about something you have zero control over.

You don’t think the team’s and the individual players’ reputation and public image is impacted by them being portrayed positively in a video game?
Think about it. If it had no value to the Astros and their players, you can be [censored] sure these cards would not be in the game.
Video games and pro sports are big business, man.
Don’t be so naive.

I think it’s pretty clear that there’s something deeper going on here.
Why would SDS purposefully choose 2017 astros cards over plenty of other options?
Like the PS Springer in the Prestige XP reward path. There’s tons of other options they could’ve used, but they choose him specifically. How about that 2017 PS Charlie Morton? It doesn’t matter if he didn’t cheat (even though there’s some good evidence that Astros pitchers were cheating as well.) And now they choose 2017 Correa for POTM. Hell, even if they had no other options for the Astros FotF card, they could’ve at least not made him one of the best ones from that set.
Either MLB or the Astros organization have spent some serious dough to make sure the Astros receive as much good publicity this year as possible. It’s just hard for me to believe now that SDS could be this morally bankrupt without some outside pressure or interference.

Find me someone who goes through the effort of obtaining this card that isn't fully aware of the 2017 Astros situation, and hasn't already formed their opinion on it. A card being in this game has zero bearing on real life.

Perhaps more value than I'm giving it, but far less value than you are giving it.
