day 1 hitting... you couldn't go wrong with anything. These good/okay outcomes with the ball right in the middle of the pci is outrageous. I've also missed the ball completely but the ball was on the outer phase and somehow it registered as a good/good. The hitting has to be worked on tremendously. I can't keep squaring the ball up to not get rewarded.

The thing is I don’t think they play their on game to see the issues lol but this game has so many issues I’ve seen many people posted their vids on twitter showing them winning the game in walk off hr fashion and the other guy gets the win I’m telling u this is the worse I’ve ever seen this game it is right up there with 18.

The hitting wasn’t good day 1. People say this every year, it’s just because no one has had time to complain and whine yet. Day 1 hitting was so simple it took no skill. I’ve had no feedbacks where the ball is completely out of the inner circle and register as good good. Hitting is still not very difficult, what do people want? Homers every third swing and 30 hits a game? Cuz yah that’s what baseball is.

The bottom line is that SDS either doesn’t have a fix or wants to keep little unskilled Billy happy so they keep spending money. I feel like the only way to fix it is by completely reworking the hitting engine which isn’t happening through a patch.

@aron1740 well tbh when I square up a ball it should be gone most of the time and pretty much everyone in the community agrees with that this game has more issues than hitting, Fielding is one thing that needs to be addressed and pitching is horrible this year there is a lot wrong with it bugs etc.

Your thread was about hitting so I spoke to that. And no your squares up balls shouldn’t be mostly homers or in that case squared up needs to be much harder.

In hitting when I use Pete Alonso and get perfect perfect fly ball it’s a fly out to the middle of center field.

Streamers are nothing but cry babies so I’ll pass. Also I didn’t say the game was flawless, baserunning is a mess and outfielders track down everything. I do stand by that the hitting is not at all difficult, if you think it’s hard than you aren’t WS caliber.

@aron1740 i never said it was hard but user input if pci placement is in the right place you should get rewarded imo, I’ve hit home runs with the pci not even on the ball lol I don’t agree with that.

Good/good is not squaring up a pitch. I actually have been digging the hitting as long as i dont feel the show gods are literally taking a game from me. They still need a new patch on fielding first, im tired of being under the pop fly and on the ball marker only for my player not even put his glove up. That could take away a win or a no hitter.

@yStrs No. That’s not what people expect. At all actually. That’s just an excuse to try and nullify people that are mad about hitting but reality is hitting is a complete mess and there’s no other way to put it. Center barrels on good timing resulting in weak contact is a problem.

That's exactly what I said. The ball in the middle of the pci with good timing but it's a good okay.

No it’s not. Some of the best players in the world weren’t batting .300 in 2018 and average players were around .200
At least we can hit for average. I think people forget how horrible 2018 was. 1-0, 2-1 games all day.

This is probably true and good at least for me and people outside the US because most of the time you get people from different countries and it's very hard to hit because of lag.
You get a good connection yes it's easier but this being from the UK is like 1 in 10.
Saying that I hit 1 with Mantle 2 games back (It was lagging) PCI was down and in pitch went down away. This is what i'm talking about though the lag was so bad that's where it looked like it was going unless it was a visual glitch although considering it hit off the foul pole away unlikely.
Either fix region based MM or no fix for me because I want to actually be able to hit something.
