Anyone who thinks hitting is ok has lost it. People cried that it was to easy on release, they change it and the good ok parade started. Early homeruns happen and swinging late is usually used to go oppo. But when I hit a perfect perfect at 112 mph and it’s an out, but the early ok flies 400 feet give me a break.

The patch didn't improve anything imo. The good/okays are still extremely prevalent and now there's a bigger PCI and timing window, resulting in more foul tips on awful swings. Changing the timing window does nothing when you can put the PCI perfectly on the ball and have it result in a good/okay

Probably the most random it’s felt all year.
I'd have to agree with that. The feedback and actual results are all over the shop.

I once ate a restaurant and there was a cockroach in my food. When I complained to my waiter he told me that it wasn’t a big deal and if I had been eating with my eyes closed I probably wouldn’t even have noticed. At the time it didn’t make sense but after reading all the stuff saying feedback is broken and we should turn it off I am starting to understand where he was coming from.
I turned off the pitch and swing info and actually won a game I was more focused on hitting without seeing the result of it
How do you do that?
Go to settings - user settings then general then hit r2 to go to basic it's the 3rd one down -
I feel like hitting can vary from game to game. I played a RS game tonight where I was the home team at Minor Stadium Capitol Field. My opponent pitched gold Kluber. I hit 2 homeruns off him and scored 6 in 3 innings when he sent a friendly quit then raged quit. I was rated in the 250s before the game and so was my opponent. Apart from pitch speeds feeling like HOF, I hit pretty good. This game felt drastically different from the game before where I was the away team in an MLB stadium. Nonetheless I enjoyed both games.

Better than what it was 2 weeks ago. That’s for sure.

Better than it was before.
I'm at least getting hits and runs instead of constantly getting shutout. If I'm gonna lose, its nice to at least get a run or two for the daily missions.

Hitting is ok at best. Too much randomness to say it's better than ok. Pitching though, that's just a F'n joke.
What ? Pitching is way to easy my guy. A silver pitcher can hit the corners with ease this year.
LOL. Dude, we're talking about online play. Offline, commons can hit corners.
I was talking about online play as well. I have seen silver pitchers hitting the corners with ease in online play.

Hitting corners once in awhile is not hitting with ease. There are numerous complaints in this forum about meatball pitching. Even maddux can’t paint the corners in this game.

@Matt_42187 The silver Vida Blue reliever is nasty! He's one of my favorite relievers to use in RS and I've got Rollie, Doolittle, Kid K, Mariano, Foulke and Lee Smith in my pen. Vida's change is hilariously good for a silver card.

No doubt. He’s my favorite pitcher so far. His card a couple of years ago was unhittable.

@Matt_42187 I can imagine. I like his SP card but not sure I want to drop the stubs on him for it. I faced him once and did pretty well against him. He was tough but seemed very north and south with his pitches.

His fastball is flat. That’s why I work off of his off speed pitches.

The timing window change did help those of us that had no chance to hit a fastball. It did probably make it worse for people that weren't having that issue. The pci didn't need to be bigger though.
I dont know the answer. I don't envy SDS, no matter what they do half their audience finds it unplayable.

It’s an absolute dumpster fire. The hitting system doesn’t play anything like what the developers intended (ie the 3 dot system and new contact pci).
how would you compare the hitting from this year to last year?? I went all in on '19 and stayed away from '20
-
yesterday I didn't like it, today it seems better. It always seems really different from one day to the next so it's hard telling.
