I never belittled you personally at all until you started to personally attack me. Now all you can do is make fun of the fact that I am a police officer and try to help people on a daily basis. I disagreed with opinion and you got butthurt and then went off the deep end with insults about my integrity and character. Dude you need to relax and just learn to let things go. You’re really looking like a little cry baby right now. I have asked politely for this thread to end and you just can’t let it die. I wish you all the best and strongly suggest maybe some Zoloft to calm down. Feel free to keep insulting me on here tho keyboard warrior People can clearly see the type of person that you are and all you’re doing is validating my points about you each time you open your mouth
Let’s be real here. You belittled me. You said you didn’t do it personally, but there is no such thing as an impersonal belittling.
You keep saying I’m being tough behind a keyboard. But who tried to flex and prove how tough they were by bringing up their profession? Who started talking about the “real world” chewing someone up or something along those lines? Who started talking about carrying a Glock?
You were the instigator of all this, and you have been doing exactly what you accuse me of doing—you’re trying to be tough behind your keyboard.
Now, I salute your choice of profession. Truly. You serve your community daily. That’s admirable. I won’t share what I do for a living because it’s no one’s business. But let’s just say you aren’t the only public servant on this thread.
But just because your a public servant doesn’t automatically grant you altruistic vision like you’re trying to portray here. People admire police officers, so some people are rallying to your defense. But you aren’t infallible because of it.
Now, as soon as you stop with your fake psychoanalysis, and stop trying to take your fake little high road (which you aren’t really on. You are just saying that you’re on the high road), and admit to your role in this whole thing, then I’ll stop.
Until then, I’m on your helmet, Tackleberry.
"Until then, I’m on your helmet, Tackleberry"
Lol without proper context this could change the entire direction of this thread
-
I only brought up a Glock because you keep calling me Tackleberry, who uses a .44 Magnum. The only reason I brought up my profession was after you started calling me soft. I have only brought things up after your baseless insults to me about my character, integrity, and profession. Why don’t you go back and read the thread. You’ll notice every single time that I only counter your insults. The simple fact that you can’t grasp the concept that I never belittled you at all is dumbfounding. Maybe you’re a little too sensitive? I didn’t realize that disagreeing with somebody meant you belittled them. Explain how I belittled you and help me try to understand your way of thinking, because nowhere in the beginning of this thread did I ever come at you personally

Ill reference this post from the very first page that you said to me...unprovoked cursing and name calling and insults right from the start with your very first response on this entire thread. Sounds like you’re the bad guy here buddy...sorry to burst your bubble

There is nothing wrong with starters out of the pen.
This is Ranked Seasons. People are trying to win stubs, XP, and card rewards. They should have their entire 25-man roster available to them in anyway they see fit.
There are no rules in MLB that prevent a manager from using a player however they want. Position player as pitcher? Why not? A pitcher used as a pinch hitter or pinch runner? Go for it. Whatever you think will help you win the game. SDS did the correct thing by allowing us to do this.
What difference does it make if your opponent uses a SP out of the pen? Your job at the plate is to get hits. Period. Starter, Relief, Closer—it makes no difference. Do your job.
But I will say that if SDS wanted to reduce the usage of SPs out of the pen, they have to release better relievers. I think Rollie is the only reliever over 90. At least he’s all I can think of at the moment.
Lol this is the worst post I’ve read in a long time. Let me know the next time you see a MLB team throw any starter in back to back games just to win
-
Taking things out of context is called lying. You ignited this whole thing with this, saying it’s the “worst post you’ve read in a while,” bashing his opinion.” This was BEFORE any “attack” by him
-
You haven’t brought up any point about the argument at hand, you’ve let a person using sarcasm who could be 3000 miles away from you get into your head and change your mindset.

How about disparage? Is that a more apt description? Yes. You disparaged me.
I made my very post on this thread and you responded with, “Lol. This is the worst...”
And as for unprovoked cussing, I typed “dang” (well, not “dang” but you know what I mean). I didn’t know that was a word that needed to be censored.
I’m really not sensitive. I’m just clapping back. Either you can take it as you dish it or you should get off the Internet.

Lol I’m taking it just fine. You haven’t upset me in any way at all. You just have resorted to constant childish insults instead of trying to change my opinion because I disagreed with you. I am a very understanding person and have agreed/upvoted several comments on this thread. Yet you still resort to insults and childish drama...sounds like you were born for the internet and never get off it

Again, I ask a moderator to remove this thread because it has gotten completely off topic and has now become nothing but senseless drama

Exactly. He said “Lol,” meaning, “I’m laughing at your opinion because I don’t like it.”
And, “This is the worst post I’ve ever read,” meaning “Your viewpoint is invalid.”
But really, my argument was a legitimate one. He didn’t want to confront the argument, so he tried to minimize the entire thing by calling it unworthy of his attention.
I responded by calling him a crybaby. I could have left it at that.
But then Officer Bada** came out. Lol

Notice he won’t address the arguments about starters out of pen. What you posted about that was great. You mentioned things I had not even thought of, but they solidified my view that starters out of the pen is fine.
He just want to cry about me “insulting” him.
He lost. So he is asking for the mods to eliminate the evidence.
But that shouldn’t be surprising, considering he is asking SDS to change the rules of baseball to make the game easier/more enjoyable for him.
And he said the real world was too tough for me. That’s laughable.

Lol where in the hell did I ever ask SDS to change the rules of baseball?? I have clearly stated that I have no problems facing a starter out the pen. I have a problem facing 3-4 starters out the pen! That is completely unrealistic even in a playoff scenario

I would agree more with this, but I still believe this falls into the category of them in rl not having access to the pitching we have in DD

Yes you are correct that every team doesn’t have access to 5 aces in their starting rotation like we do in DD. But even if they did, no manager would ever throw them all every game or even in the playoffs. Starting pitchers train their arm strength differently that relief pitchers. Their arms are designed to throw 90-100 pitches at peak performance and then rest for 4 days to regain their strength to be able to pitch for a 3 hour game.
A relief pitcher’s arm is completely different. They are designed to come in and throw 15-20 pitches and get 3 outs in an inning. Possibly more depending on the situation. A starting pitcher’s body just simply isn’t trained to come in and throw 20-25 pitches for 4 straight games. Not even the best closers in the world can do that either.

fair point. I just feel we’ve never seen someone try it, so it’s hard to say for certain. But who knows. I’ve gotta head out for a bit but it was nice discussing this mate. Hope you have a great day over there
