CP Franco

How is John Franco out of the pen. Is he similar to a left handed Rollie fingers or how does he play?
-
I have done fairly well with him, but I literally pray every time the ball leaves his hands that it doesn't get obliterated 650 feet into the stands.
His pitches are slow and crawl to the plate, and his offspeed just looks so hittable from my POV. I haven't faced him much as a hitter so perhaps it comes in deceiving?
I really don't like him much, but I'm a Mets fan so I enjoy having late inning melt downs and crushed dreams.
-
He’s a very easy to control lefty. Hits his spots much more often than not. Definitely a pitch to contact guy that gets a ton of ground outs. Not gonna blow anyone away though. Try him out, You could do alot worse.
-
He's very good considering there isn't a ton of lefty options for the pen yet.. I sold him though. I prefer to throw fire out of the pen. Strikeouts are key late game

You must love the memories Glavine conjures up then.

I've had him for a while, but I've only used him once. 3 up, 3 down save.

Online everything looks slow. And online I hold my breath that I dont give up a 600 foot bomb on every pitch. There are guys who obliterate any pitch no matter where I put the ball. I cant hit my way out of a wet paper bag.
-
He won’t rescue you, but if you give him bases empty he will get some outs.
-
13 ip - 0.66 era and I'm a terrible player

I was at game 162 in 2007. It went from electric to morgue-level in about 5 minutes.
But if Wagner gave a [censored] about holding runners on, maybe it never gets there. -

I have mixed feelings on him overall in his tenure as a Met and post playing days so I just can’t bite the bullet and pay the money for a soft tossing lefty.
