Bruv they don’t even give you the real odds. They just say less than 1%, that could be .0000000000000001%. It’s also buying fifa points and it’s $25 for the best pack, and it’s like a 5% it’s a walkout which is like 1/5 of the pack most of the time. Like a .0001% you break even

All the packs have odds for each tier. Odds do not increase with bulk purchasing. It's a risk. I hope you have better luck in the future.

Edit after doing the math again:
Let’s do some back of the napkin math. Let’s say 2% of the packs have a diamond in them. In that case you have a .98 or 98% chance of not getting a diamond in an individual pack. Which means you have a .98^200 chance of not getting a diamond 200 times in a row. That works out to about 2 percent. By coincidence this is the same chance of pulling a diamond in a single pack. I didn’t think through my earlier response. Apologies.
So, it’s unlikely for this to happen, but possible. In fact, it’s essentially the same hope you have of pulling a diamond in an individual pack.
Either way, I would be really bummed if this happened to me. But, it isn’t outside the realm of possibility.

Once it’s defined as gambling to get around the work around phrase of “surprise mechanics” it’s going to open ethical lawsuits all over the place. Once a single win creates case law, it will be a field day for class actions. No players will get rich off of it, that will be the attorneys. But sign up and give log in and personal info for a couple hundred of bucks? Sure, why not. Multiplied by hundreds of thousands of players. I’m sure not a big deal. Or maybe the defense that it’s ethical that 99% of packs don’t give value to push IAPs will work. Who knows.
Whether you spend money, have to spend money, have to open packs will be irrelevant.
I don’t need to convince you, you will see it all play out. The whirlwind surrounding these games isn’t even an if, it’s just a matter of when.

Lol ouch. Yea they are terrible. I’ve lost around 300k over last 2 weeks. It’s not even an up and down. It’s just down, down, down. Worst packs in sports games and that’s a tough feat. I know they are the worst because you literally could not make worse value for their price unless you just took the price of the pack and didn’t give the pack.
The good news is there’s nothing that stubs are needed for in this game so no reason to worry about them or spend money for stubs anymore lol.

It's EA, not SDS, that's why I didn't see it. It's a law suit which has no merit. There is an inherent risk to buying packs for real money. Should FIFA and The Show be classified as "Gambling"? Perhaps, but if you don't spend any real cash on stubs or packs, there is no gamble. I have been playing The Show since whenever it came out and I have never ever spent any money other than to purchase the game. And it's not "Pay to Win", it's pay to buy packs with odds. In addition, you can pay real money to get all the diamonds in the world, but if you're a censored player, you still won't win.
