This game is scripted

Up 1-0 bottom of the 9th, opponent hasn't touched me all game. I bring in my closer on full stamina, opponent hits a dinger off a same-handed pitcher on a low and inside fastball that would have been a ball.
Next at bat I pitch a fastball OUTSIDE and for no reason whatsoever it goes RIGHT DOWN THE MIDDLE and he hits a walk-off dinger.
These things never happened in the innings earlier, and there is no logical explanation whatsoever to the second homer, let alone the first. This game is definitely scripted, there is no doubt about it.

Happened to me too last week, to cause me to not make into WS. Up 2 in the 9th and he ties it and then walked it off. Lost 5 in a row after :). But, I don't think it's scripted. I do believe in momentum in the game though. I've been a momentum person since FIFA had its conspiracies in 2015 haha

Bro there is no explanation whatsoever as to why the ball went right down the middle when I pitched it outside.

That [censored] happens in real life man. Bringing in a new pitcher gives confidence to hitters. New arm slot, new repertoire. Pitchers miss spots all the time. Is it frustrating and seemingly helpless? Hell yeah. Does it need yet another thread? No. This forum is toxic as it is already

Actually low and in is a no no. Hell that was my spot as a lefty playing baseball. Even now in slow pitch softball, down and in I’m hitting it to the moon

They need to keep little Billy happy and thinking he is a good player as well. In turn little Billy buys stubs and keeps SDS happy.

You do realize that your “Little Billy” logic can go both ways.
If you are playing someone much better than you then perhaps you will only win against skilled opponents. If that is the case, no one would make World Series as good loses to bad, based on Little Billy logic
Not saying that the game is perfect, but IF there is coding to allow bad to beat good, perhaps their difficulty rating is lower to compensate. That is the only way I can see “Little Billy” code apply

Who was the pitcher

With all the complaints of pitches going over the middle when not intended to with perfect release, if they don’t fix it then it’s obvious it’s designed to be that way to help players get easier pitches to hit. Every year they add something new to influence outcomes. Last year was the game forced errors and this year they made pitching very shady.

I think “scripted” is the wrong word. It was not predetermined before you began the game that your opponent would win.
Now are there situations which present opportunities to your opponent (or you) when behind? I don’t think anyone would argue that.

Just wait till next year when all of Billy’s friends on Xbox or what not start playing this game for the first time. SDS is going to want to get them hooked so they come back every year.

Happened to me today as well! I was winning 2-1 in the 9th. He hadn't touched me all game minus his 1 run (a HR on a curve that I messed up the analog meter). 2 outs, 2 strikes. Next pitch, BOOM! I ended up winning in the 11th but still, that HR he hit in the 9th was just super fishy.
