Player lock is under Mode-Specific. On XBOX X the name was not Player lock throwing interface, it is called
Player lock ShowTime Opportunities set that to off for original button throwing.

This would be far less confusing if they did not make these changes. I have been playing since 2007 and this is the first time that it
is not called Button-Classic when starting up the first time. Now you have to change things in 3 different places to just do button control for pitching, fielding, throwing, and base running. They made it a lot more difficult than it needs to be/

If not for grants post above I would not have found it. I never had to change the settings from inside the RTTS mode before. The settings were set globally when you first started the game. It always had mode specific but you could set them in the global menu once and forget about them.

The fix that worked in 22 doesn’t apply in 23.

I have the same problem.. it’s already set to buttons which is locked for some reason now. But when I go to throw he just holds it

Default lead is 10.4 ft. haven't seen statcast for extra step(cause I don't) but i think its between 13-14 ft. hard to get back at that distance.

Well, 21 was an odd one for me. I ended up quitting 21 once I learned that all the gatekeeper cards I needed were locked when the season ended. But my player was a left handed hitting and throwing first baseman. Got called up and instantly moved to second base for no reason, despite not being able to turn a double play hit on the left side of the diamond and kept there for the 4-5 seasons while watching the team shuffle through about 4 different first basemen that were 5-10 points lower than I was OVR when I stopped playing.

I had the same issue, i closed the game reopened it and launched RTTS and i able to hit play now.

The opposite is also true with RTTS equipment. If you pick the stuff that gives you boosts but try to hide it through the equipment editor it still shows up. I am stuck with a compression sleeve and wrist guard that I don't want.

It's all about timing and pci placement, you can't really swing for the fences this year, just put good swings on the ball.
Better the timing and placement the harder the contact, the more hard contact the better the results.
I hit better just trying to get a good swing than I do do trying to hit it

It happened when they changed broadcast team. They havent got them to say all names yet. They will eventually have them back.

I had the same issue but I guess it’s a bug, so I left the speedy archetype on bronze and played like a game or two to get a couple more of the green reward things and it completed the silver for some reason and jumped me straight to gold and the speedy one was available to continue on gold.

On PS5, I fixed this by turning off 120 hz in the ps5 system settings. At least it seems to be fixed.

The problem with most ideas for RTTS, is that the developers would have to make RTTS not connected to DD in any way. As of now, there is almost no realism to RTTS. It feels like its all about how fast you can max out the player for DD. I also started an idea thread which has some cool ideas as well.
