Faces of franchises (For example, Aaron Judge) signing elsewhere

I wish there could be a way for us to convince our teammates to stay with our teams, whether it be in free agency or stop them from accepting a trade. There is nothing worse than seeing your franchise player signing with a rival, like Aaron Judge for example!!!!

So, I got tired of this myself. Basically, to stop this kind of thing from happening, I just play every team in a franchise.
When I start a new franchise, I select all teams. Once it's going, I make two different presets: one for the team I want to control which gives me control over everything and another one for the CPU teams which gives them control over everything EXCEPT trades and contracts.
Then, you basically make roster moves to your own tastes. You can stick with real life rosters or fix some teams (like the White Sox or Rockies). The only time you really have to futz with the other teams is in the offseason (or midseason trades if you're keeping up).
