So, you play as a certain team. You then play in key moments throughout the season and try to get them to the world series

He just won the gold glove at 3B actually. I believe he came up as a SS but converted to C out of necessity. Next year he will be transitioning from 3B to SS and taking over for Elvis Andrus.

you can go into the rosters and make those changes,save the roster,then load that save roster when starting. you can also choose to "use default roster" when starting, which should be the launch roster.

I am talking about the mode to earn team affinity March to Oct --- i know there are easier ways and such but i find the mode mildy fun / change of pace

they wont change those rosters, they are permament locked in at beginning of year, last year and this they only did one update, and that was to add callups that werent in game last year at launch, and one this year to fix rosters cause no team had a final roster yet so sds had to guess

Just started one with the Blue Jays and they have Robbie Ray and Jonathan Villar, but don't have the guys who got hurt since the season started (Bichette, Hernandez, Giles, etc.)

The updates don't work in MTO mode either !

Another real problem with the game is that it's too scripted. There are games I pitch great and get hit hard because the game script has me losing. There are other time I can't lose if I tried. I'll hit what's usually a pop up and and it's a HR.

What's wrong with playing game where you get what you deserve? Same stuff happens in Showdown too but not as much as this scripted [censored]. I'm not a fan of this mode, I've only done it to get the TA guys.

I'm currently doing a Dodgers M2O to get another Hershiser to sell off since I'm a little low on Stubs after buying FS Luis Robert and SS Chris Sale off the market (Thank god for my investments paying off!)

At the beginning of this run, I felt a little overwhelmed by how good their roster is to begin with but once I got familiar with their players, I realized there are still quite a few areas where I could upgrade; mainly at catcher and the bullpen but I also felt it necessary to get another power bat in the infield and with Turner and Muncy's flexibility, it allowed me to think a bit outside the box.

I ended up acquiring these players before the Trade Deadline:

Josh Hader (They badly needed a good lefty out of the pen. I was pleasantly surprised when I was offered him so early in my run.)

Freddie Freeman (He has been excellent playing 1B with Muncy moving to 2B.)

Drew Pomeranz (I wanted to get a left-handed long-reliever and Pomeranz was a great choice.)

Brandon Woodruff (I wanted a better SP3 as I wasn't liking how David Price felt and Julio Urias was struggling)

J.T. Realmuto (I pulled this off on the last day before the deadline. We sent David Price and two B-grade prospects.)

Heading into the playoffs as the #1 seed in the National League, our playoff roster is:

I know exactly what you’re talking about, I stopped doing MTO’s for a little while and got used to “perfect” umpiring. I started one up last night and it was exactly how you said, I had a batter first pitch was completely off the plate inside called a strike, then the count got to 2-2 and I took a pitch and it was a fastball completely inside the strike zone called a ball. Completely forgot how bad the umpiring could be in the game, but the umpiring is also horrible at times in the real game.
