I just started with the WSox and they have the opening day rosters now. Last week they had Cease still on the WSox but now the roster matches opening day and Cease is on the Padres.

Forgot to mention...yes it's just like creating a Diamond Dynasty team but you just have the roster of the team you chose.

In short answer no. People seembto think this is normal. Happened to me last year since M2O is one of the only modes it lets you play offline but then when I connected again it said this and I asked about it here. But essentially the responses were that once this happens there’s no way to fix it and oh well. Pretty crazy.

This bug was present at launch last year too, which I think was related to the option to save and exit mid-game, which the game allows and does not give you an advantage really. In fact since you have no control over pitching changes in player lock moments and you are asked to throw 130+ pitches to preserve a pointless shutout sometimes it’s more of a necessity than superfluous.

Haven’t tried to do that yet this version, but you have so little control over things in mto that there’s not much exploitative actions you can do. I can’t even ensure that there’s going to be a lefty in my bullpen for the playoffs despite having 3 on the last day of my season, and got walked off 3 times in the ALDS without the ability to bring in someone to face a lineup made of lefty hitters. Not to mention that you’d be put into the game with a platoon disadvantage and stars on the bench in postseason games needing to make up multiple runs all the time. And you can’t even substitute until they throw you a pitch. Tired of Mickey Moniak having to hit lefty relievers in the postseason close and late with Mike Trout somehow on the bench.

@Panetrane It had those rewards as recently as last year for MTO. It would pop up at all star break, after season and after winning or losing in the playoffs. I haven't played this year yet to see though.

@icdavis882 Yeah....thats what happens when you quit games too often. You wont get the rewards for completing MTO

Better roster mgmt in general is needed in MTO. Not only for playoffs (e.g. start of playoffs and between games to enable better strategy tactics) but also when you trade for a player...allow me to select who to send down in that players place vs the CPU deciding. There have been times where they sent down a player I wanted to keep up.

@asocial_grace That's wild that it skipped your first two strikes. I haven't seen that. However, I've had issues with the strikes all year, too. It seems like they just randomly pop up. You can see the last post in the MTO forum for my story (title "What in the world constitutes "exploitative behaviors"???").

I just got my first strike since I made that thread, so I came back to the forum, and again, I didn't do anything differently. I exited the mode, closed the app, and turned off the console. When I came back, I got the warning.

Here's the exact message that pops up for people who haven't seen it:

"ATTENTION

Hmm. Something isn't quite right.
Was the mode exited unnaturally?

Be careful to only exit the mode through our menu
options or risk compromising your rewards."

As a fan of the game of baseball, I'm not happy seeing a cheater in the game at all. Be mad at the cheater, not the game.

As for your opinion on Tatis, educate yourself instead of regurgitating everything you see on twitter and Reddit. He never failed a single drug test in his career. And that drug test he did fail for PEDs was a bye product of medication he was taking when he was already out for a year! If you’ve taken oral steroids from a doctor to fight off a viral infection you’d also test positive. So swallow your opinion because no one cares. He’s not Barry Bonds.

Sounds like you're a child. (saying it as a fact, not a sleight) It is a game. A game children play. For that reason alone, he should have been taken out of this game.

Reasons for taking banned substances are irrelevant. He took them. He got caught. Took his punishment. Back playing. He should be. But at the same time he was put on a pedestal by this game as to "what a player should be" by giving him the best card in the game, at that time. That said to this community that what he did was just fine. That is what I disagree with more than anything else. Since you replied to my comment a month later, it seems like you care more than you should. It is my opinion, I'm entitled to it, and I will express on a forum that is dedicated to what I'm commenting on.

Since you're not aware, steroids are not taken to fight infection. They are to decrease inflammation. His doctor would have known better than to give a famous athlete steroids with other medications that can fight inflammation. Prednisone, and other steroids have strong side effects. I and my doctor know that, so
she gives me other anti-inflammatories and I'm not even an athlete. Or maybe it wasn't his doctor. Did you know that Barry Bonds didn't fail his first PED test until he was in the league for 8 years. That wasn't even an MLB test and didn't count. He never failed an MLB test in 15 years.

I get it. You're a Padre fan. I lived off Arrow Drive and saw Gwynn playing at the Murph. I caught tadpoles in the ponds in Murphy Canyon and could see the stadium from the ridge. Love of team doesn't supersede the rules of the game.
