Not options as in you can choose a or b, options as in players have contract options that get used up by getting demoted from the mlb to the minors and when a player runs out of options bad things can happen. When the game first came out the options were totally screwed up but they have since been fixed.

Typically, Japanese players haven't been added to the game until they've played at least one MLB game. Of course, that was before we had full minors and the minor leaguers were the same situation that they wouldn't show until they played an MLB game. So, who knows this year and if Japanese players are still under some kind of different rule. Will be interesting to see what they do.

I posted this in another forum... but this is how you get the lineups and rosters to stick.

During spring training it brings all the guys on your 40 man to the mlb level if you start with a 40 roster or it will auto populate the 40 man if you start with a 26 roster. At any point during Spring Training go to the roster section within franchise and for all 30 teams drop the guys back down to the minors to where they were originally, it will use an option but when you advance to the regular season all the lineups and rotations stick. I don't care about the options getting used because I don't carry over year to year. I used 2 profiles, my profile and a cpu profile when starting the franchise. 29 teams on the cpu profile. You can pick and choose which game specific options are on auto and which are on manual for the profiles. You set up the profiles outside of franchise.

I also have noticed the stat overlays for hitters is way off.

A dev chimed in on another forum the other day and said that if you play on HOF with max pitch speeds then the visual speed is exactly 2.0 mph faster than before the patch.

I wish the braves would do the same with snitker he cost us so many games last season

He is in the game now with the new roster update along with player options being fixed... comes in as an 81...

Once on launch night, had to start over.

Signed a free agent as a rookie to play for me. It's his first year in the bigs but he had like a .700+ career average the other day... is what it is...

Guys. It's not DD and making $$$$$$$... they don't give a sh*t anymore. First time actually buying the game since 2017... and I kind of regret it already because the game has only made slight changes outside of that stupid card collector mode.

Because nobody rebrands their team. Its a pointless feature. Give us expansion mode with a stadium creator like MVP Baseball or just get rid of franchise mode so i can save 60 bucks. The game is getting pathetic. Ok i was thinking. Rays rebranded in 08. No other team in recent history has completely rebranded their name. Its dumb. They dont care. And for the show 21 they now have to focus on porting the game to xbox. So thats a waste of a year. Im sick of SDS.
Stadium creator might happen in the future but I disagree nobody relocates their team.

Oakland used to be Kansas City and prior to that Philadelphia.
Baltimore used to be St Louis
San Francisco used to be New York
Los Angeles used to be New York
Atlanta used to be Milwaukee.
Texas used to be Washington
Washington used to be Montreal

My early impression of gameplay is the relocation/rebranding is the best thing about the game. I'm not impressed with a couple other things I'm seeing in mlbts20

Thanks for the input gang. I rebrand my team and a buddy of mine told me the same as Amadioha72 said at the end of a regular season.

Unless the roster is a full 90 man roster it is unplayable as a multi year franchise. SO with 25-40 man classic rosters the best thing to do is turn on CPU Roster Control and also control all 30 teams.

Play it as a one season replay. No injuries.

I have been employing this method for over 12 years with classic rosters that are not full 90 man rosters.
